Gunfire erupted inside a California high school Thursday morning, leaving at least six people injured.

The shooting was reported st 7.45am Pacific Time at Saugus High School on Centurion Way in Santa Clarita.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said at least six victims were transported from the scene with gunshot wounds.

Deputies are looking for a suspect described as an Asian male in black clothing, the department indicated on Twitter.



All schools in Santa Clarita's William S. Hart school district are locked down as a precaution, the department said.
