Default South Western Railway began their 27-day strike : Another Political Football

The Union say they had a deal on the table
but the Government
got involved.

https://news.sky.com/story/south-wes...ondon-11875497

[Thousands of train passengers faced misery
during Monday morning's rush hour as
staff on South Western Railway
began their 27-day strike.
The walkout, which will affect travel
until New Year's Day,
is the longest stretch of industrial
action against a major rail operator
in living memory.
It comes after South Western Railway
and the Rail, Maritime and
Transport union failed to reach
an agreement in the long-running
dispute over guards on trains.]

They have to do what they have to do. Guards are important.

Yes a Guard is needed
The Union Boss on ITV1HD news
confirmed their deal is ready to go back on the table
but the Conservative Government
changed it all.

Hence the Strike
is now a Election Issue,
of course Corbyn says
he will Take all the Railways back
once each contract ends etc.

Good, makes sense commuters hearded like cattle onto unmanned trains for extortionate prices can't be accepted.

The Boss of South Western Railway
claims new trains come in 6 months
and they will have a Guard.

But the Union boss says they are not real guards,

Waterloo Station London
is so busy, it's going to be Hell
for folks trying to get home
every train will be over packed.
