Not ANOTHER new symptom . First losing our sense of smell, now being possessed by a malevolent supernatural force and going on a murderous rampage? WHAT NEXT Covids, what next.

Only the history of Canada, obviously.

16 is a lot of people, but 100 gays were killed or injured in an American shooting.

No, the lockdown turned him evil and that made him kill people.

(On a more serious note, it's probably that he was half way to snapping already, and lockdown isolation was the final train to murder-town)

They're already losing their **** and the governments of most states (especially red states) are showing clear signs of backing away from hard lockdowns. I think they know fine well that the collateral damage from trying to cage the Eagle is likely to outweigh potential Covid deaths. Of course, if the rest of the world continues with the policy of hard suppression over phased management... that creates a bit of a problem in terms of how those states are able to interact with the rest of the world (and potentially, given the federal nature of how this is being handled, how they interact with coastal states). We might see hard borders between states and that starts to smell a little bit like civil war.

all it takes is a well armed group for and against a lockdown .... and it is effectively civil war. Feelings are going to be running high on both sides

Yes, the "flip-floppy" swing states are where clashing is most likely IMO, where public opinion swings regularly so there's likely to be some shifting one way and others the complete opposite. But then there are also states like Texas where honestly I don't think there will even be much resistance to an "armed refusal" to lock down. Those who are pro-lockdown are far less likely to be armed in the first place, for a start, and... well... with some of those states I think it'll be 75%+ in favour of "living free and dying hard" and the counter-voice will be a quiet one that just chooses to lock down personally and stay away from those who wont.

In USA

the Anti Covid Lockdown Protestors
have Big Machine Guns
so Police better stay well away.

Or it could all go wrong

I doubt many people will have any clue where Nova Scotia is, sadly.

It's inevitable with the MAGA scum doing what they are doing, thankfully most of the schools are closed or closing.

The US is due to be ravaged by Corona and there's already people telling themselves that Corona doesn't exist and that the problem is the lockdown (again, not helped by Trump telling his cult to 'liberate' themselves). The delusion is real and it's only a matter of time before the crazies turn to violence, I thought as much when the reports about people panic buying guns came out.
