Well what was the lockdown for in the first place if not to take away the risk.
To control others actions.

We were told by Hancock the stay at home message was not advice, it was an instruction.
During the lockdown.

In fairness, very few outbreaks of not complying came into being.

I will naturally risk assess myself and my loved ones too.
Doing what is right to keep all safe.

By that same determination I have to protect my loved ones.
I will see them, if others think it fine to do as they please and are then allowed to by those in power.
Then I see those people being as big a threat to me and my loved ones, equally along with this detestable virus.

Pubs and clubs are literally the LAST thing that should have reopened, but we sadly live in a nation of casual alcoholics who have gotten bored of boozing on their couch, and want to go back to boozing with other people.

The fact that "everyone was desperate for a pint!" is tragic beyond comprehension, even without the extra complication of Covid.

I think its more desperate to get out and get some kind of normality than desperate for a pint which the media have run with Mr C and I took the pooch to our local lake today and we walked past the pub for a nose, tables were full but spaced apart and people enjoying themselves in the sun....there were no groups standing around which is the issue in narrow Soho streets

I do agree with Cherie though really, it's not about the drinking as such as obviously people can drink for much cheaper at home but it's about restoring a sense of normality and escaping the claustrophobia of lockdown

It a holiday weekend here so it’s going to take longer. Don’t even think they will be shipping off the tests til Monday evening. But I was told it’s only a 3/4 day wait which isn’t too bad

I had a fantastic time on a bar crawl last night with my friends. Like Cherie has said in here you can’t police other people. If I was living or seeing my parents/grand parents I’d not do that, but i live with another guy my age whose family do not live in this country. Neither one of us have vulnerable people to infect if we were to catch it. Still following the rules of the government etc.

Obviously I agree.
Those out mixing with others cannot avoid coming into contact with others..

Are none of those who went to a pub, never going to a store, a shop, a garage or mixing with others in their neighbourhoods.
Not to mention if working, their work areas.

Have not enough deaths from this occurred already to satisfy.

The fact people queued outside the pub before it opened like chill it’s not that important to get a pint and all those social media posts “look at me i’m at a pub” like they have never been to a pub before.

But i agree pubs and clubs should not have opened just yet.

Of all other Nations we are only behind 2, one of which has near 3 times our population and the other over 4 times our population.

Yet there's those in the Country that say the government has done a good or the best job.

Unbelievable.

All those deaths..
R.I.P. to all of them and endless unreserved sadness with condolences to all who've lost anyone they care about to this.

(Especially since our government doesn't even now announce the deaths verbally, even just to show any respect).

There's the glaring and frightening reality of this virus.

Spain has a 2nd Lockdown Zone, now:

[Officials in Spain's north-western region of Galicia
have re-imposed restrictions on an area of 70,000
people following a Covid-19 outbreak.

Only those travelling for work will be allowed
to leave or enter the coastal district of
A Marina from midnight on Sunday to Friday.
The move comes a day after the north-eastern region
of Catalonia imposed a similar local lockdown.
Nationally, Spain's outbreak has been essentially
brought under control.]
