But YOU posted that it was 98,184 on the 20th of May. I took a screenshot of your post, it's right there. You can go back and look for yourself?

Unless you mean you went back today and changed the old one? Which is an even stranger decision honestly.

So you went back and changed the number in the previous post... saved the changes... and copied the info into a new post.

I can understand the process but the motivation is a mystery to me; far from being the fastest... this sounds like the slowest and most confusing way of doing it I can imagine. You could just copy it and... not save the changes.

These death league totals are pointless in my opinion anyway, as you know, buit they're rendered even more useless if you're going back and altering the previous posts so that people can't even check for changes over time!

On a serious note, not sure how many average income people are going to be rushing out buying new cars.

We're actually looking at cars at the moment . As showrooms haven't been open, they do little personalised "video tours" of the cars (hilarious and awkward) and will even deliver to your home, and wipe everything down (and you're supposed to leave it sitting for a few days as an extra precaution.

Things will probably be mostly open by the time we actually buy, though.

Obviously furloughed people/those whose jobs are at risk aren't financially in a great spot, but people who are still working/WFH actually have a bit of cash to burn at the moment I think. Nothing to spend it on after bills and food, so excess income has been building up for the 3rd month in a row now .

That'll be a year or so down the line, I think there will be an initial spending spike when things re-open, when people spend the money that's been burning a hole in their pocket since February. It'll take a bit longer for companies to start making redundancies and everyone to realise they're flat broke.

The government is kidding themselves if they think people are going to go out and spend, spend, spend on the high street in a couple of weeks. People who wanted to buy something simply bought it on-line already, and aren't likely to return to the high street any time soon. The high street will likely never recover, on-line shopping has progressed by about 5 years in market share, and they are unlikely to lose that now given people are now accustomed to on-line shopping
