Grateful for what? Terrible owners that bought us because our value was distressed. Made bad decision after bad decision. They are charging us interest on the loans for stadium development which they said they would never do. It's actually the part of FFP where owners can invest, so they could have paid for that on their own, especially as the increased stadium capacity will affect their selling price more than our transfer kitty, but no, we have to pay for it. They bought us for around 200m, and now we're worth around 10 x that.

The only decision they got right was the no brainer to appoint Klopp, and he's carried their incompetent, no investment asses ever since. Worst owners behind the glazers in the division. Can't even compete with Villa and Brighton with transfer funds. It's all built on sand, so as soon as Klopp leaves we'll be back to fighting for 4th.

Luckiest arseholes in football..

We weren't going out of business - we'd have been ****ed for a fey years, but that's what happens when Moores and Parry sold to the worst ****ing chancers on the planet. FSG bought us as a distressed asset because that's what they do, and they fully took advantage of that. Pissing the fans off with furlough bull**** and ticket prices that forced the fans to fight back by walking out.

They are terrible.

Administration is not going out of business.

I know my history, which is why I don't have anything to do with the sun.

No it wouldn't. We have loads of valuable assets on our books.

Like I said, we'd have been screwed for a few years, but we wouldn't have gone out of business, which isn't really the point; John Henry wasn't sat at home crying because we were about to go into admin, he was a business man looking for an opportunity to make another few hundred million, so being grateful is a little out of place.

The days of owners buying clubs out of love has gone you need to understand that, football has become a money making business and has been for years hence why you struggle when not at the top

Again, not the point. We're near the top of the money making business, and near the bottom when it comes to investing that money.

Because we are in a **** tonne of debt, he doesn't have the wealth to run the club without loans, most of his money is tied up elsewhere.

We spend way to much money on agent fees and we wasted about Ł60m on a failed stadium plan .

The reason investors are being looked at is because they need to get the debt down and make other sources of money available

3/4's of our debt is owed to FSG. Just have a think about that, and debt of itself is not unhealthy for a business like Liverpool. The club is actually in good financial health.

We have to stop overpaying on players for no reason, stop spending Ł40m+ on agent fees a season and stop maybe millions on plans we have no intentions of keeping,

They also need to give Micheal Edwards more control as he has shown he is great and haggling for great deals, just his player sales alone is remarkable

So are you saying that the person we need to be grateful to, is the same guy costing us all this money that is owed directly to him and his group? Hmmmm

The problem was who they had in charge of the business end of stuff, they clearly wasn't good enough and changes have been made but it takes a lot of time to turn a profit on things that we threw money away at

Leeds seem to be quite ambitious with their signings.

have more expectations with Rodrigo than Koch, but that is more because Valencia are a top team, while Freiburg is more relegation battle level

If I were a Leeds fan I wouldn’t have my expectations to high. Looking at his stats while at Valencia, he doesn’t seem like someone who scores many goals and to pay 30 million for him just seems quite a lot (imo).

The 700m euros (Ł624m) release clause in Lionel Messi's Barcelona contract is still valid, La Liga has said.

Messi, 33, informed the club on Tuesday that he wished to leave and did not attend a pre-season medical on Sunday.

The Argentina forward plans to invoke a clause that would allow him to depart the club for free but Barcelona argue the deadline for that has expired.

-----

Think that will stop any potential transfer

Yep it looks like he’s staying at Barca for the time being unless his lawyers can work something out regarding the clause in the contract and the fact that because of the coronavirus, the season ended later than usual therefore affecting the date of handing in a request to leave the club.

The naivety of thinking the figurehead in charge was acting unilaterally without any FSG input.
