People live forever these days, and Biden seems relatively physically fit. Even if his mind isn't there, the engine will most likely keep running for the four years.

Woodrow Wilson had a stroke after WWI and was basically Weekend At Bernie's-ied for the following three years, I doubt they'd let something like diminished capability stand in the way of keeping Biden propped up
