week on week the numbers are getting better. We are hitting the warmer months, people are being vaccinated, business is starting to re-open. I think there are some grounds for cautious optimism

now that >95% of the vulnerable have been vaccinated, crowds gathering outdoors is much less of an issue. I don't blame anyone for wanting to get out in the fresh air on a warm day after being locked down for months

you can also sit in your garden, or work in your garden (now is the time of year to do garden chores anyways too)

i don't mind myself in my country it is still lockdown and curfew, since it doesn't affect my own life

as long as i can be in garden, as for indoors in my room watch my series, being able to have my own freedom i am happy

sorry if i am a weirdo that way, if i don't the aspects of socializing

must make an apology to you as well Bots, for you saying i talk nonsense, sorry i just get stressed out from hearing things on here and also reading other things and hearing other views from my parents regarding vaccines/lockdowns

Spain: another face mask compulsory indoors and outdoors now, after a huge surge in new cases and a huge rise in hospitalisations

wow i mean germany can receive criticism for being too slow in vaccine rollout, but Spain if they had more vaccinations done i think the huge rise in hospitalisations wouldn't have been this big

countries for me who are being too slow are Netherlands, France, Spain

i support Merkel, as i've always done (i mean AstraZeneca only for 60+ now is better considering most of deaths there are below 60 after that vaccine dose)

Netherlands: as of today, summer nights curfew to start at 10 PM, so the curfew will now more be used to hopefully get rid of illegal partying at night

and fewer vaccine appointments were made than expected, ugh

Some people are in a park, they think its all over?!

What a bloody ridiculous headline

We are allowed to meet now anyway, but even if not, seems pretty hard to catch covid outside.

Also last time the papers were flapping about this, the beaches pictures turned ut to be long lense shots that made it look worse, as one of them had a pic of south shields beach, the day I was there...looked like thousands were there in a huge bundle but..it was busy but people had distancing between their different groups

I don't really see how anything could 'blow it' now really, given the reason for deaths/hospitalizations going down is...the vaccinations. Not distancing, not lockdown...else numbers would have fallen way earlier. The numbers have gone down steadily with every vaccine given it looks like. Therefor, peoples behaviour doesn't really matter much in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't advise any raves at the min of course, but the rags bringing out 'omg look at all these granny killers taking advantage of a sunny day by being OUTSIDE! ' are just being ridiculous. Keep an eye out for 'cases' again soon, rather than the numbers that actually matter, which is hospitalizations really..

We're still not supposed to meet up with people outside until April 12th. I let Luke meet up with his friends yesterday though, he's been so good over the last year, never complained about it but I'm not doing it to him anymore, I'm worrying about the psychological damage that's being done to people and especially kids and teenagers

when Rangers won the league there were large gatherings outside the stadium and in the middle of Glasgow - maskless fans all singing and drinking

People were like "wait for the bike spike in Glasgow"

didnt happen

It's only going to be warm until Thursday.
Cold weather is back fro Friday.
I'm going out, I've been locked at home for ages.
I need some fresh air and sunshine

We were going to the park today (though expect it to be..hell! Its the only place really people can take the kids, who are off on holiday, and obviously being..kids!) but james fell over and gashed his knee. So think we going tomorrow. Beach next week if weather stays nice. Not meeting anyone like, but we can be put down as 'covidiots' aswell by the star or whatever, for taking the kids outside into the open air!
