So a bit misleading, poster, your post makes it seem like all/ a lot of hospitals are at capacity, when in reality it’s a handful of smaller hospitals.

Personally I think we should all open up because otherwise it won’t open up until next summer, yes we will probs go into restrictions again in 2 months but at least we have some normality beforehand. If the vaccine isn’t the way out then there is zero way out….

There's no way I'm going to Italy as long as the delta variant is getting worse.
Maybe next year, when things have settled down.

we just need to keep a very close watch on hospitalisations. The same principles remain. If the admissions get up to too high a level then we need restrictions again to keep those numbers under control. If hospitals cant cope, there is no alternative

Any thoughts/suggestions on us visiting relatives in the US in a months time for two weeks or so ??

We both work in schools so would presumably after allow for ten days quarantine on our return..

Or would it be better for them to visit us instead ?

I worry that there maybe local restrictions suddenly imposed due to the rocketing infections and if they did come here we’d be stuck in our little town for the duration.

All parties involved are double vaccinated already .

Yeah but the Wimbledon audience don’t dribble and spunk all over each other and spit in each other’s mouths and what not, like you would get at an England match.

No mention of the 17,000 Scots who travelled to London without a ticket

People tend to hug their friends or family not random strangers

You keep toeing the line though, I’m done

Yes it’s all so silly. I bet he’d fume if a festival was happening in a few weeks

What really finished me off is my friends father in law in his 80s went into hospital last week...non covid related issue...he was in for a few days and started to ask to see his wife, they were very close, did everything together, the staff said no, so his wife and his son battled for 3 days for her alone to be allowed a visit and finally they gave in, he passed away soon after...imagine if she didn’t have her son to go into bat for her...she is double vaccinated and had taken a test but still no ...this is all wrong and needs to stop now

On LBC
the Left Winger is finding
Company Bosses turning off the NHS/Track, trace Ping.
And workers also turning off the App.

He points out a Conservative MP
has said "do not ask"

That said ... infections doubling every two weeks ... restrictions soon to be lifted... suggestions of 100,000+ per day .

There’s surely no way they will be allowing us Brits into their country with those numbers ???

I’m thinking the amber could soon switch to red at very short notice

you have a vaccine certificate and you will be required to take a test before travel. It's a different world now compared to pre vaccination times

no reason for panic, just because cases go up

i mean hospitalisations and ICU's in my nation remain quite low, compared to an actual ''wave'' like back in third wave for example

i also still follow Germany's news shows what they are doing now regarding covid, and most are like no reason for panic, says also virologist Karl Lauterbach, he just wants extra thorough testing among youths who are going on holiday, but no reason to bring people back from Mallorca, those who are ill are advised to stay in their hotel rooms and not spread the virus further into the specific country of destination
