Why is there more obsession with Meghan, and why does it concern people if she wants to quit social media? , Loads of people in the public eye stop using social media .

I don't think people will be satisfied unless both her and Harry hit rock bottom ,and even then they'd still get grief as the couple wanting a 'pity party' or something. But anyway hashtag ' bekind '

Obsessive hatred bothers me, it destroys people, we've seen it time and time again. Also to make out that none of the hatred has to do with her skin colour is just naive and factually wrong. There are people who will hate her for her race, you cannot deny that.

As for them 'playing the victim', if you cannot see the noticeable difference between how the media treats Meghan and Kate, for example, then you are being wilfully ignorant on the issue. You only have to google it to see a vast history of comparisons on the issue.

As for the your last line, this is a discussion, if you don't like it, don't take part and leave everyone else to it.

Are those.people you have quoted Royalists Jet? I have not heard of either so its a genuine question. A lot of people may be biased due to the fact that they love the Monarchy and believe Meghan has caused a split.

I don't know about 'love' - its their jobs. They are long time Royal commentators and authors who have praised when praise is due and criticized when it is not. They are never sycophantic nor deliberately unkind. Other good commentators are Penny Junor and Jenny Bond.

Were they around when Diana died? Just wondering if they criticised the Queen for her reaction then? I think the way she handled that has a lot to do with people moving away their support of the monarchy and the Queen as a whole.

all the media was very critical of the queen when diana died. It's certainly what made me look at her in a new light

They certainly did - as did I! Went right off the Queen for a while.
I think the Royals learned a lot from that episode though and the Queen became 'softer' afterwards. Polls these days have either her or William at the top or 2nd every time in popularity.

Gossip is gossip, continuing to project things onto me and make me out to be a mirror image of you is not an argument, it is desperation.

The truth is, if these people made out that Meghan was lovely, you would discount them immediately because you are looking to have your hatred validated by any source that appeals to the narrative you want to present. I wouldn't care either way, since my problem with the Meghan coverage has less to do with her and more to do with the fact that it's motivated by bigotry.
