Probably more likely Spurs trying to distract from negative attention around the ESL and placate their own fans a bit rather than Jose having made some ethical stand

Maybe there has, but I've never heard of a manager being sacked before a cup final.

Shows you how much wanting to win a trophy like the league Cup means to these souless people. To the fans, it means everything.

Just last week, Jose showed his class by interrupting his own press conference to show his respects to the Royal family as breaking news that Prince Philip had died.
