Fair. Though the whole conflict would be better off being Section 28ed (if that can be a verb ) because why does it need to be talked about in schools? People chirruping on about "genocide" probably don't bother to mention how awful Hamas are, and everything they do to their own people.

Neither side is good

Calling it "genocide" doesn't paint a fully accurate picture when population growth in Palestine has been steadily growing since the 90s. If people could publicly talk about it without taking sides at all that'd be something, but the rise in antisemitism suggests people find that hard.

If you want to sit on the fence (while CLEARLY having a preference), then do so, but don't encourage people to do the same.

Israeli soldiers are regularly executing and abusing citizens while removing them from their homes and stripping them of their rights. You have isreali soldiers shooting upon mosques, throwing grenades at ambulances and treating people like animals that they can put down as you please and you're trying to make out that this isn't leading to genocide? Oh, to be naive.

Also, I see your attempt to equate criticising Israel to anti-semitism. To reduce such a serious thing as a way to silence criticism of a country abusing human rights is anti-semitic in itself.

The only answer IS the balanced answer - the battle is between the state of Israel and Hamas terrorists, and innocent civilians get caught in between and ****ed over without a second thought. Such is war.

This is interesting, you keep focusing on making out that palestinians are only being harmed by Hamas despite evidence to the contrary, you even completely cut out the the parts where I listed acts of violence towards innocent people by Israeli soldiers. Do you think ignoring parts of what I say will make your argument seem less like bull****? You keep pushing one narrative while completely ignoring a huge chunk of reality just because it puts a dent in what you are saying.

You can't ignore what Israel have done to the Palestinian people and how their apartheid and human rights abuse does nothing but feed the conflict they've created. Israel is not some vulnerable country in need of our protection and defense, it's a nuclear power and one of the biggest powers in the middle east. Palestine is a country without an official army and the continued raping and pillaging of the country is being justified by pointing out terrorism like it justifies the horrific human rights abuse that is taking place.

I brought this up before and people were too cowardly to argue against it and so I'll say it again. What would you have said if the UK went further against the IRA in the 80's? What if we occupied Parts of Ireland and forced people out of their homes? What if we forced people into essentially open air prisons based on nothing but the fact they're irish? Would we not be the bad guys if we used the excuse of terrorism to oppress and dominate Ireland? Terrorism does not justify war crimes, murder, and human rights abuse as a response.

Israel are not simply defending themselves, they are subjugating another country and inflicting horrible abuse upon them while claiming to be completely innocent. It will eventually get to the point where Israel and Nazi Germany will not be too different from each other.

Is Hamas the whole of Palestine? Because they’re not just attacking Hamas are they? This ‘war’ is being presented as a war against terrorists by the Israel fan club, let’s not pretend that this hasn’t come after a long period of terror and dehumanisation against the people of Palestine.

Read through this thread, it'll give you some idea how the Education Secretary's request us going to play out. Antisemitism is justified for some who clearly believe Jews get everything they deserve regardless of the fact that they are British subjects and not Israelis. These are the same people who will remind us - not that we need reminding - all that not all Muslims are terrorists and worry for the safety of the Muslim community when n a bomb goes off. The same ones who label other people bigots and racists if they disagree with them in any way.
