So last nite I was poking the arm of my glasses down my left ear cos it was itchy and this morning when I woke up there was clear liquid running out of my ear and it hurts a little bit too.

Just wanted to share this.

Like you would know pain wise I assume if you perforated your eardrum

It was probably liquid that you poured into your other ear, but as there is nothing in between to stop it, it came out the other side

Cotton bud is fine , but you have to be gentle .
Cotton buds are the only things I put in my ear but carefully.

I've phoned the docs. He phoned back. Said it would probably be a lot more painful if I'd perforated it. But keep it dry and don't let water get in it. If the pain gets worse then make an appointment. X
