To be fair, white people caught in a poverty trap have no real advantages over black people in the same situation. Acting like "white privilege" is still a thing just gives an excuse to leave people behind, instead of addressing things which can affect anyone.

…I don’t understand, what is the ‘white privilege report’…?…so far as I can see there is no such report…there is The report of the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities which makes points about all disadvantaged children of all races and includes institutionalised racism also…the report covers lots of areas in communities and education is only one area and aspects of it have been widely criticised …(…including the education section…)… because taking segments out of context in media reporting etc is only aimed at creating divisiveness…

Poverty and struggles are with families and children of all backgrounds and race, this just feels like another way to cause arguments.

This report has its own narrow-minded agenda sadly.

Being debated this afternoon on Talkradio. Some excellent calls stating of course the problem has been around since at least the 70s so to try and make some political dig about this scandal is foolish. Its the biggest news story today and of course needs its own thread imo.

it would appear if they get more funding they will spend it on the wrong people
