Not quite sure I agree with you there...I lost 2 sets of twins and a single pregnancy before I had my son, each loss was the same. It's terribly sad and heartbreaking but the number you lose doesn't lessen or increase the hurt

I guess I'm not a woman so I dont really know the feeling but I was basing it on she would have to mourn for 4 babies instead of the one which is hard enough

Losing any baby would be awful of course, but hearing it's 4 must be a tougher blow surely? .

Devastating news for her and her partner. My mates mother miscarried 9 times.She has two sons and she always jokes that she would have had enough for a football team, I suppose people deal with it differently. But she always treated us kids down our street like her children, whenever you went in her house she would always be wanting to feed you and do things for you, she still does now we're adults.

Only Fools and Horses did a great emotional storyline on this subject when Cassandra and Rodney lost their first child.

Del tells Rodney that "it's just a dropped stitch in life's tapestry" which their late mother Joan used to say whenever things went wrong.

It can put a real strain on a relationship. Hope they both find peace.

It actually probably gives more time to process as they will most likely have known it was quadruplets since the 8 week scan, and unfortunately multiple births (beyond twins) often end in miscarriage, and when it’s 4 or more it’s actually likely to be the case. Of course there’s always hope but they’ll have been informed as soon it was known to be a quadruple pregnancy that miscarriage was likely.
