Yes but only with pretty much a toy machine.

I used to play darts with two guys who were detecting 20 years ago

There is a field not far from my dads were a Roman villa used to stand the farmer won’t let anyone detect it so people go on the land at night

Mind you a guy was telling me and my brother about an elderly couple they wouldn’t let anyone go upstairs but when they died people went up stairs and found two boxes of gold Roman coins

Any finds have to be split with the land owner and it has to be declared
