No , but the interviewer was. He's worked in the UK too though even did forensics at one point. He bored me to death though, he talked about himself a lot

It's very important in my industry rather than just a social, medical or biological model

Not really. I do have this effect in interviews. Again, I don't mean to sound big headed but I do come across really well

It's not like I'm starting tomorrow. I haven't even booked a flight but he interviewed me and is happy to proceed.

He said he would normally do the interview with someone else and they'd write the notes. He'd normally consult with them but based on my CV/experience he's happy to offer it me. He is actually the service delivery manager so he knows what he's looking for and decision comes down to him I'd imagine

Yes I think so. I told him I would anyway, but who knows what will happen between now and next year

Welcome to care tbh, high turn over is just an unfortunate part of the system normally.

There one of the leading health providers in New Zealand so I would highly doubt it's dodgy.

God so much negativity around here.

What is it exactly that is too good to be true?

You apply for a job, they short list you based on your CV, they interview you over teams (quite normal considering its in new Zealand)... You impress them so they are happy for you to work for them the interview was nearly an hour long too

I assume the offer will be subject to references and being able to obtain a visa.....so sure all will be fine.

When I went to work in the US in the 90s, I had a telephone interview, was offered on the spot and then was on a plane 3 weeks later. And that was all fine.

Congrats...hope it works out. Have always wanted to go to NZ

Yeah I already have my visa.

If you have the skills they want and the appropriate visa then it's fine.

New Zealand are absolutely crying out for staff.

Yeah it can be a quick process, it's checks that take the longest, police and references.....short term anyhow.

Long term it can be a very long process having to get all your qualifications changes over, AHPRA I think they call it, medicals, English exams etc

And thank you

You really don't like an opinion that differs from your own

No it's called disagreeing with your opinion and putting the reasons why.
