She will ALWAYS be a mistress to millions .. and she even had to go into hiding for ages such was her unpopularity ..

The Royals didn’t think that Charles would be safe walking in Di’s funeral procession because of the hatred towards him so they decided to make William and Harry walk alongside him knowing that the crowds wouldn’t attack him with them next to him !

In other words they used the lads as a human shield for Charlie boy !

Incidentally the lads initially refused to walk but Prince Philip ( who was also disapproved of them walking ) intervened and said that he would walk with them if they agreed ..

The lads have both said since how they hated the experience and that no child should have been made to do that walk .

Zizu, that was 25 years ago, they have been married for 15 years and now the GBP don't give a stuff about what happened back then anymore. Charles is modernising the monarchy going forward and that can only be a good thing

You and others have nothing to forgive!
It had nothing to do with you in the slightest
It wasn’t your marriage or any of your business it was played out in public unfortunately

So move on, hating on people that have done nothing to you

But Harry and Meghan put their private business on the world stage by going on Oprah….a huge difference.

Meh, Charles did the same with the Dimbleby interview in 1994 when he admitted committing adultery during his marriage to Diana. So not so much a huge difference other than timescales and some people have long memories.

It all needs to be left in the past as far as I'm concerned. Charles and Camilla are obviously very much in love and have been all these years, its a shame that Diana was caught up in it because of Royal protocol and expectations. I think Camilla will make a fantastic Queen consort

Diana was always the "other woman", it's just a shame Charles was stuck with her for so long and had kids with her instead of Camilla.

Diana and Meghan seem similar types, with their simpering "poor little me" complex.

Diana very much played the game, it was supposed to be her sister that married Charles, but she flirted with Charles in front of her. Also, Charles wasn't allowed to marry Camilla at the time and I don't think there are many of us would accept that amount of control over our lives without rebelling

No, they aren't similar situations at all.
Charles was asked a question and he told the truth. He wasn't being vindictive and didn't tell a lot of untruths like they (especially Meghan) did to discredit the Royal family in the Oprah interview and continue to make digs and attention seek ever since.
Meghan threatened very recently that she could reveal more if she so chooses as she didn't have to sign a NDA. Absolutely disgusting.

If they carry on with more of the same, and Harry goes ahead with the book, then it won't be left in the past, it's current, and it's going to be reported. The ball is entirely in their court now.

In your opinion they aren't similar situations but I respectfully disagree. At the time the interview was huge news and, as Zizu has demonstrated, a lot of people remember (my dad feels exactly the same as Zizu and he loves the Royals - just not Charles) and Charles' popularity dipped quite dramatically because of that interview (and has never quite recovered although he is much better thought of now than he has been in as long as I can remember), in the same way that Harry and Meghan's has.

I completely agree that Harry should really rethink the book now, I am hoping that spending time with the family during the last few weeks has maybe served as a poignant reminder of what he is giving up and how scrapping those plans may heal rifts etc but that remains to be seen - its very possible he doesn't want those rifts to heal and or that the family have been pushed too far. Everything remains to be seen - but I hope it plays out behind closed doors (although I know it won't)

Sure, his reputation took a big dip after the interview, though most already knew he'd had an affair, it wasn't exactly startling news. However, the situations aren't similar in that he didn't use the interview to paint Diana in an awful light with lies and slurs which to me is the important point. Most of it wasn't about Diana anyway.

How Harry and Meghan carry on from here is crucial. It would be impossible for anything to play out behind closed doors if Harry goes ahead with the book, and it will be obvious he doesn't want it to. The same goes for anything more (leaking of conversations etc) they may reveal about private family matters. They know the score and as I said before, the ball is in their court.

They must know that their bitterness and spite isn't bringing them happiness. I agree that this could be a new beginning for them - their chance to enjoy what they have with their lovely children and a fantastic home and lifestyle.

I think if his Nan left him a fair large sum he'll most likely keep his mouth shut now. They will probably rethink slating the queen knowing it wont go down well at all now. I never realised how adored she was until her death.

What about 'personal' wealth though? ie cash? Can she distribute that as she see's fit?

Course she can. She can give it all to an orphanage for cats if she wanted.
