Me: (is buying a some junk food)
Cashier: Would you like a receipt?
Me: No thanks, I checked the sizes, I know they'll fit.

Surely the joke is obvious, why do they never get it?!

It would make sense if people only wanted receipts to return things but people often just want it to check their spending or if they want to claim it back etc.

When I fill my hands and arms with my shopping and the cashier says would you like a bag I say "bloody hell do you not think I have enough to carry?"

They never get it and that is grade A humor
