it was at the request of the coroner, which kind of implies that the police haven't done their job properly again

Not sure of The Sun's wording as its the Coroner that tells the police the cause of death?

[He added the remainder of the evidence
'will require further evaluation' and
no cause of death was given.
The inquest is due to resume this summer.

this case is just very dodgy. The coroner obviously needs some missing evidence to support a cause of death or to fully explain how she ended up in the water

Exclamation

Nicola Bulley was 'alive when she entered the water' and died by drowning,
inquest hears: Mother-of-two, 45, 'hadn't been drinking' on day she
disappeared and had not been harmed by a third party, "expert" says

Nicola Bulley was alive when she fell in the River Wyre, had not been drinking
and died by drowning with no sign of foul play or an attack by a third party, her
inquest heard today.

A police underwater search specialist (one of the ones who failed to find her)
said he believes Ms Bulley fell into the River Wyre before floating
downstream. The 'shock' of the cold water would cause her to 'gasp' and
inhale water, PC Matthew Thackray said.

Yes 2 days to come of this in a court.

Her GP will talk tomorrow,

That's someone that can let us know
what she was like
at that time.

That would make sense, although you'd think her dog would get it, wasn't it a spaniel which is a water retriever?

This case will always be very suspicious. Shoddy police work and so much evidence destroyed due to police imcompetence.

I expect this inquest will be a sham, just to get things 'over and done with'.

But it will always be an open case in the many eyes of the public.

well at the inquest the area she went in is very steep and is 4 metres deep so I think its plausible, she had just made plans on the phone and was on a work call, its difficult to see how that is compatible with suicide

cold water shock would have rendered her unconscious in less than 50 secs, she obviously fell in near where her phone was found on the bench
