We always clapped on a Thursday evening.. we just appreciated the doctors and nurses risking their lives each day ..

I sadly also hoped it would mean more true and fair appreciation across the board for the NHS staff.

The clapping was a nice gesture as a one off, a nicer gesture would be to give them proper pay rises, 14.00 an hour is rubbish money, most admins earn more than that

We all did it to feel less isolated during lockdown.

Not JUST because of that, obviously but it helped us all feel less alone.

LT has gone down the covid conspiracy rabbit hole, so there is no point discussing the subject with him. People with underlying health issues were/are at risk from covid. That is a sizeable segment of the population.
