If you bought it from Amazon, there's a tickbox you probably didn't notice which asks if you want it pre-signed in to the account from which you bought it.

it also has an option to save your wifi details to the cloud, which must have been set.

I got a new apple watch recently and all i had to do was pair it to my phone and then place the old watch beside the new one. Within 30 seconds it was up and running with all the same apps as the old watch

Another neat update i saw recently was the one of my cards was due to expire on apple pay and the bank sent an update to my phone/watch with the new card detail automatically. Gone are the days of having to input new card details

Does a new kindle keep all your highlights on books you've read?

I'm probably overdue a new one but I like revisiting favourite passages from books so would want to keep that

kindles are not laptops

I bought the smallest lightest most basic one - I have a Kindle Fire 10" hd but as i fall asleep it falls and whacks me on the nose so i wanted the lightest possible to hold in one hand (£75)

It only weighs 158 grams

Excellent

I've actually had mine for nearly 8 years now so it's been really reliable. One of the best gifts I've had I think
