Over 4 hours
He has been up there
now seated on a ledge.

He used his shoes to get up there
then chucked his shoes to the ground.

I don't quite understand why they can't just move the crane over to where he is and grab him

After 16hours up there
he agreed to go down.

[Westminster Police said the man,
who was brought down in a cherry picker
after midnight, had been arrested once he
reached the ground.

"This has been a protracted incident due to the specifics
of where the man was located and the need to
ensure the safety of our officers, the individual
and the wider public," they added.]

oh, he risked his life, did he? In the process, Westminster Bridge was closed and ambulances bound for St Thomas's had to be re-routed, risking plenty of lives. No one at all bothered about that? I can't imagine the costs involved getting his stupid arse back to ground level. I have no sympathy.

Behave arista, he was not climbing a ladder

The whole idea of a protest is to disrupt and get attention

You can’t compare climbing a building to stabbing people

You can’t expect the same outcome or the same punishment
