He must know there's another twist involving the eyes to not pay the measly 3 eye cost.

I think he probably knew he'd be nominated normally anyway (especially after hearing Jennys rule break conversation) so at least this way he'll have gained a little favour if he stays and now everyone else has to vote for other people than him

I agree, i think most of them where going to nominate Richard and George so now will have to think off someone else. I think there could be a few up.

I think most admire his honesty. I don't think many will nominate him just cause he's annoyed another hm.

He saved himself having to deal with nomination reasons from others that really came down to the number of balls he took (it's whatever) and he also saved them the guilt of nominating the oldest person in the house... in a way, it was a nice gesture, but on the other hand he is spared the discomfort of having to listen to other people make up reasons over choosing him. For some people, that's a massive perk, if the only reason they're in there is to play the game and enjoy themselves and not necessarily win.

I think Richard doesn't want to be seen as ' mean ' ,so he just took it on the chin and kept the eye . Would have been funny if he gave it to Cameron B ...who was accusing him of game playing. When they're literally in a game ! .
