I just went with the flow and accepted his evulation ![]() Firstly http://www.wimpyplayer.com/ I downloaded the above player Secondly http://keepvid.com/ Add the youtube link to the box on that page and when it's copied to your computer, you can then play the FLV file through the Wimpy player. I can't help you anymore tonight, but if nobody here can help you, I shall give you step to step instructions in a couple of days when I see my mate. ![]() I could do with that ![]() |

My problem is that I need the files in mpeg, .avi or wmv for use with Windows Movie maker as I make a number of multimedia presentations. The KeepVid sites sells software, which is not cheap, and it looks like the player may be one you eventually have to pay to register.
So an alternate method to save YouTube files in that format would be appreciated. |

Addendum - If you use Vixy.net, then before you can use the avi file created, you need to use Windows Movie maker to create a wmv file. Then you can edit the wmv file into other films in process.

The other videos from zamzar finally showed up, but in the future I may just use vixy.net, I just have to remember to convert them to wmv files before working with them.
