Victory in Nevada for Hillary Clinton, beating Obama by 51% to 45%, but she still trails at 24% to Barack Obama's 25% in the delegate polls.
Meanwhile, John McCain wins a close South Carolina primary, with his 33% beating closest rival, Mike Huckabee's, 30%. And Mitt Romney won the Nevada Republican contest, with 52%. Closest was Ron Paul with 14%. |

I hope Hillary Clinton does NOT win. She seems so cynical and calculating. Everything she's done since Bill left the Oval office seems designed to lead to this point.
One thing though, if she does becomes president then would Bill become First Lady/Man. Hows that going to work? Barack Obama has the backing of Oprah Winfrey which will stand him in good stead but I'm not sure if the US is ready for a black president. There are no presumtive nominess so this will be a tough one to call. Hopefully by the time we get to super tuesday and the Party national conventions there will be clearer front runners. |

The biggest mystery is why did Condaleeza Rice not run for office? She would have sown up the Republican nomination by now. And also be the front runner to win.
An opportuinty has been missed. |

I don't know enough on the subject to post my thoughts on it. It is a shame ron has deleted all his posts. It would have been nice to see if he actually knows as much as he is insinuating, or if he was just going to copy and paste chunks of rhetoric from other sites.

John Edwards
the corporations are terrifed of him. the likes of Rupert Murdoch is terrified of him. he will stop the corporations influence and running of the united states, by their lobbying and bribing of senators and congressmen in the form of donations and other "inducements". As a trial lawyer with several high profile class action lawsuit victories under his belt, all against corporations - he is the nemesis of both corporate America and the right wing propoganda machine that passes for "news" in the United States of Amerika. He wants to give the power back to the people, back to the voters and out of the hands of the elite and the deep pockets of the corporate lobbyists. and that is why he won't get in. Assuming of course that there is an election. I still see it as more than a remote possibility that the election could be stopped, using some global event - even one orchestrated by the current republican administration themselves, as an excuse to keep hold of power. A coup d'etat in sheeps clothing. In any case both Obama and Clinton are actually the REPUBLICAN PARTYS candidates of choice for the DEMOCRATS. Easy targets to attack and lay the blame for the past 8 years onto - using the propoganda machone supplied by Rupert Murdoch As an expmple of what Clinton and Obama are really like - squabbling children after the best sweets in the shop compared to Edwards http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-OuoLlds9o |

John Edwards and Rudy Guiliani have/are expected to announce the end of their Presidential bids soon, with Rudy now backing John McCain.
McCain wins narrowly in Florida, whilst Clinton does too (but with no delegates due to a legal punishment) |

nice topic
The only 2 people who vote against war with Iraq & Iran is Obama and Ron Paul. Ron Pauls wont win coz the media dont like him but Obama is the right choice for less war in the war world. I just wish people will vote him and cast aside the fact his black. The winner will impact every other country in the world |

Looks pretty much a certainty that John McCain will be the winning Republican candidate.Still very close between Clinton and Obama for the Democrats.

Hillary Clinton, because it's about time we had a female person in charge instead of it being men all the time lol and she seems cool from what I have seen.

I might as well say I vote Obama because hes black,
but then everyone says no we should vote on policies, but its ok when we say we want clinton coz shes a woman. clinton wants war with Iran obama doesnt want war with Iran ... obama, doesnt need to be "experienced" to know not to go to war [/quote] There will be a war whatever, and whoever is in charge, Bush made that happen. All I am saying is it's about time a women was in charge, instead of men being in charge all the time, would make it different. |
