Stuart - he is so wrapped up in his game plan that he is frightened to say boo to a goose. As soon as there is any hint of confrontation he turns away or walks off. Stand up for what you believe in. He is in danger of disappearing into the wallpaper of the bedsit.

He knows a lot of obscure things that not many other do, but he seems a bit lacking in the common sense department.

I have to say he goes after her just as much as she does him these days - at first there was a lot of resistence from him but her bunny boiler ways won his little heart by the look of it

i would be happy for them if their romance is for real when they leave the house but im being pretty realistic saying that it wont last. michelle and stu have contrasting personalities and michelle is older than stu!

Well Michelle said that she is falling in love with Stu but I don't think Stu feels the same way. He likes her but I don't think it is love where he is concerned.
If it does last the poor kid will never be able to speak his mind again. BTW did you all see him crying on BBLB - I felt really sorry for him |

I doubt that the 'romance' will last beyond the first Sun/Star/NoW reporter showing Michelle the size of his cheque book. Unless Stu also fancies a career in soft porn modeling (Michelle's stated ambition).
To go back to the original question ....... Quote:
I have come across a number of people who have a very high IQ, but who are barely able to cope unassisted in the real world. One excellent example of this type applied for a job with me many years ago. He had a first degree in Psychology and held the highest post-graduate qualifications possible - on paper he appeared to be near perfect and at semi-genius level. When he eventually turned up for his interview he explained his (considerable) lateness by saying that he had confused Camberley (in Surrey), where the interview was to be held, with Camberwell (in London). Needless to say I didn't waste my time by even giving him an interview. It's neatly summed up with the expression ...... "High IQ but can't tie his own shoelaces up" |

Very very true p2pnut . You are not the only one to have noticed such. To me intelligence is not about what you know or how much you know. Intelligence to me is the art of knowing how to use your knowledge base no matter how little or large that may be.
Some are lucky enough to have memories like blotting paper and can absorb a whole lot of stuff. As we all know blotting paper has no sense. ![]() |
