Default I`m starting a diet tomorrow

I`ve tried them in the past, some worked ,some didn`t but I haven`t been on one for absolutly ages and its about time I did.So I was wondering does anyone have any tips. Also do you think its worth joining a gym or would it be a waste of money?Im thinking about going swimming as well seeing as though I just learnt on holiday lol although I dont know if I`ll have the bottle, ill feel to self concious being at local baths and all.My mam only does home cooking about once a week for reasons I wont go into and I can just about make cheese on toast so I don`t eat healthily and when I diet I tend to find the easiest way to loose weight is to just eat little becuase Its too difficult to plan meals and stuff. So if anyone has any tips on anything easy I can do for myselfIt would be really appreciated
