Default Recommend a scary film

I'm having a movie night with friends on Halloween and we've already selected a comedy (Mean Girls, natch. All my friends and I love it!) but we can't decide on a scary film.

We want to be scared shitless! Any suggestions?

The only film that ever **** me up and gave me nightmares was the re-make of "The Thing". Mind you "Saw" did and that was because that could happen in real life. "shudders"

I despise scary films. I don't see the point in them anyway.. I think a really good one is Monsters Inc. Made me shite myself

(yeh that was a joke, I aint a pussy)

Lol, I ain't exactly a big fan of them either (thats why I'm no expert on what to choose), but we felt that seen as it's Halloween we should make an effort to get into festivity!

My friend suggested The Ring but she's seen it already, I want something new for us all!

Seen most of them, not all. The ones I havnt seen is the ones my friends and family say are really good.

The Scream Trilogy (1st I would say)
Nightmare on Elm Steet
Haloween
I know what you did last summer
The Decent
Prom Night
Brain Dead
Friday the 13th
Hellraiser
The Exorcist
The Shining
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Hills have Eyes
The Omen (the original was shot in the house which is literally 10 mins walk away from me in Woking. Very scary, the film has a curse, 5 stars of the movies were almost killed, 2 by getting struck by lightening, one was attacked by Rotweiller, car crashes ect... This was all while finishing the film)

I never really get scared watching scarey films, but I do like them. I'd recammed "Funny Games". Despite it's name it's pretty messed up and a good movie.

I'd recommend the Japanese version of The Ring -- truly the better version.

Don't go for Saw IV, it's awful.

Never seen Wrong Turn... looks scary though.
Havnt seen Creep, but my friends have, and they were telling me about it and they cried with laughter with it, they didnt find it scary, they just laughed about something, I didnt understand what they were talking about. I think it was the way the Creep thing looked like, or sounded like. They were laughing while telling me, dont know if or why it was soo funny lol

The only scary movie I've ever seen was called 'The Cabin',I think or something like that. There was a lot of blood involved,my friends were laughing but I was terrified! Hate horror films, would much rather watch a rom-com.
