Default Digital Spy lot are so negative, aren\'t they?

As some of you know I was considering joining Digital Spy forums.

But I went on there, and literally everyone is moaning on there about no live feed. Now, even I am very disappointed about the loss, but the amount of negativity on there is unbearable.

I much prefer this forum, where the atmosphere and attitude is much more welcoming and positive: well done guys .

I think it's such a shame that certain people on that forum have to bring up the Live Feed topic in literally every thread, and use it as an excuse to say Big Brother 10 will be a big failure.

Fair enough, BB10 might be a ratings flop. But don't attribute the ratings to just the lack of live feed. Afterall, BB8 and BB9 both had significant live feed and flopped immensely.

Live Feed is important- no one can deny that. But clearly there was a lack of demand for the service, hence Channel 4 have done the most realistic things in these hard times. They're going to axe More4 News which gets around 30-40,000 viewers. That's still more than what the red button service was getting, so it's across the board that the programmes are being cut down, not just Big Brother due to some kind of vendetta.

I went on for literally five minutes yesterday. What I gathered was every single thread came back to the live feed. You could make a thread on Davina's hair and somehow they'd bring it back to the live feed

They also seem to think C4 are turning their back on Big Brother because the Channel 4 forums have closed. What the hell?!

I really hope this series is a success and then they can all get down off their high horse. Going on there actually put a downer on the launch for a few minutes for me. How some visit time and time again (even though they say they don't care about the show, hmm ...) is beyond me

Exactly Tom.

If the people on there are complaining about the show so much and saying it will be ****, why not just get off the forum and not discuss about it.

Like every television programme, cuts have to be made. Even EastEnders are axing a few characters due to the poor economic climate, and that's the BBC's biggest show.

So no wonder C4 have to make some cuts to BB. Getting rid of Live Feed had to happen considering the circumstances.

Yeah I agree.
Thats why I don't post on DS because everyone is so negative and have to make a point about no live feed in every thread all the time
Every series the majority of members on there are always so negative, thats why TiBB is so much better imo

What they dont understand is that their an outspoken minority, while they think they are an underspoken majority.

I love live feed, but truth is, nobody uses it that much in the grand scheme of things.

maybe channel 4 are cutting the live feed.. i mean we are still gona get it through the night!! because they probs want to concentrate on the one hour pivotal show and want to try and get as many people as possible watching that! the highlights! the best bits of the 24 hours of the day!!

I love the media coverage argument they use, when in reality BB doesn't get much media coverage anymore though obviously in their minds we still get things on the scale of BB3's "DID JADE GIVE PJ A BJ?" Those days are looooooong gone

Dennis and Alex being kicked out didn't even make the main news bulletins like what happened in previous years. Just a quick mention on the news channels in the afternoon

Just full of self importance. That sums up DS. They can't see past "I want".

Streaming was boring. The highlights show is now where its at.

Yeah. They are a minority, but cannot grasp that concept.

I don't think they particularly will miss the live feed which was awful in recent years. But they'll miss discussing the live updates on the forums, as that can be fun.

I think some of them really need to get a wakeup call.

BB can survive without the live feed.

DSBB is a lot more negative than it used to be...but there is mostly good reason for that. Once BB10 has been on air for a few weeks, the reason for the live feed fixation will become obvious.

OK, maybe the forums might be quieter than normal.

BUT this would not have an effect in the grand scheme of things. Most folk don't visit forums like these or DS. It's a minority thing. The axing of live feed will affect a vast minority of the total Big Brother audience.

It might be hard for you to accept Stentionhouse because I know you really used to enjoy the live feed and upload loads of clips, but all shows must move on and Big Brother has.

If you think that BB's live feed is essential like BB1-BB5, then you are seriously deluded. The live feed has been a spare part for the show in recent years, often getting dreadful ratings. In the grand scheme of things, there really is no realistic option of keeping it as it drains away Channel 4's money. Compronde?

I feel so so so so stupid for asking this..
So please dont be annoyed at me when answering..

When you say Axing live feed, Do You mean..
On E4 there is no "Big Brother Live" being put on for like 3 hours.
Or no Red Button live?

Which one are they axing?
Because they scrapped live in CBB6 and it was still on E4 A few times a day if they do that at least 5/6 times a day on E4 for about an hour and a half it wouldnt be too bad.

So can someone tell me whats being done to live all together?

Again, Sorry for sounding so stupid

It's a very negative place, and quite boring. I think they need to stop going on about LF it won't change anything !

Yes, we're a miserable bunch at DS.

So it's good to pop in here and get cheered up a bit. Thanks, guys.

Live coverage between about 11pm and 6 am on E4 (a couple of hours of which is alaso on C4).

So if you want to stay up all night watching the housemates sleeping, feel free!

If you want to watch live tasks in the afternoons, get a job at Endemol, Elstree. They still record all the action but C4 won't show it.

I like DS! There is more traffic, and pretty much any subject you want to discuss.
Furthermore, they are much tougher with the rules, so no one could ever bully you or call you names and get away with it. Which is not what I can say for here.
