Default They have chosen the wrong night to launch Big Brother on

June the 4th is a silly night to launch on. It is in the following week to BGT and with everybody talking about BGT, nobody is taking any notice of big brother. The media is all over BGT and Big brother is being left out

i know, but would you rather wait till BGT has died down, or watch it asap.

its better than friday or saturday because people go out. Me included
Im glad its on a thursday. C4 must know lots of potential viewers go out uptown and stuff. Better getting people hooked first

big brother has to start somewhere.. if they leave it too late.. then it will end up being clashed with the major autumn shows such as x factor n strictly come dancing!! i think its a good date to start!!!!

fingers crossed there will be many watching launch! i hope theres at least 5 million or more viwers watching!!

big brother deserves the high ratings

This might actually work to BB's advantage, with people looking to fill the BGT void with Big Brother ?

I think it would be better to launch it BEFORE the BGT Live Semi-Finals, around the 18th May like BB7. Yes, it wouldn't get very good ratings for the week of the Semi-Finals, but as long as they scheduled it at 10PM it shouldn't do too bad, and afterall, it's only ONE week.

That way there could be more media attention on Big Brother, without BGT having to interfere.

Thursday i think is the best day, on Friday and Saturday the target audience are out, but it will be lower ratings anyway, because the tyrend of the drop will continue, but now we need to consider the weather, its going to be a good summer.

Good Weather= Bad Ratings
BB4 dropped 1.2m from BB3, maybe because it was such a boring series, but i do think that the good weather in 2003 (during BB4) was also a factor.

After BGT is over, then thats it really. Then the media like to talk about more current stuff going on, and for them it'll be BB.

I always thought the Sunday (tomorrow) would be best, filling the gap left by BGT straight away - but now I'm not so sure. The buzz around BGT has been so huge this year it's going to take a good couple of weeks to die down, so perhaps holding back until July would have been for the best.

I think it's the best they could have done. It's avoided The Apprentice and BGT and the target audience will be in.

The ideal home for it would be the Sunday the 14th (filmed on the 13th to get around the no sundays rule) when BGT hype has died down and when The Apprentice has concluded so cannot steal the show's Wednesday viewers.

Then they could always just axe the Saturday highlights to avoid the early stages of X Factor in August.

It would mean a September finish though unless they cut the length by a fortnight.

it was the same last year we had to wait til BGT finished until BB could launch!

BGT finishes tonight so there is still plenty of time to focus on BB and if anyone else like me loves BB you would know when its on and all the gossip etc

BGT will be forgotten about by Monday. Things move fast in TV world.
