I can't understand why people would want live feed anyway, and pay for it too.
Live coverage is ruined with all those arbitary sound dips.Think I'll stick with the highlights shows,BBLB and BBBM as usual.

They had live feed for the first Big Brother. They had multiple camera feeds on the web.

Exactly - and you look at any coverage of the Nasty Nick incident and the story is how it played out on the web, not how it played out on TV in the highlights show.

Those people who moan about the sound dips are obviously completely ignorant - even if the sound is dipped for half the coverage (which is far from the truth, it's more like 5 minutes in an hour at most), we're still losing out on 12 hours plus a day of live coverage.

Why do some people on this forum want LESS Big Brother?

Why do some people think "Well I don't watch so no-one should?"

And why do people who don't care about the live feed start threads about the live feed?

The sound dips go on for more than just five minutes in each hour!Even for late night live coverage-well after the 'watershed'-there are still many, prolonged sound dips.
There is always a delay on so called 'live' transmissions anyway,so C4/Endermol could make a better editorial job than they do.
The SD's really detract from the live show.

Which also feeds an interesting point most live feed fanatics still dont get...

THE LIVE FEED IS EDITED.

Seriously, the amount of people going ''we get to watch raw 100% housemates!'' is unreal. No you dont. You get to watch, like a naive muppet, a half arsed live feed that merely acts as a playground for the production team to take bits out, add in sound dips, or focus the camera on a box for twenty minuets while you watch on like a robot.

And when do most viewers sleep?

And when is that live feed on?

Rubbish. If the live feed was shown during the day and axed by night everyone would be saying ''OMG who wants to watch it during the day I am out doing stuff, night is way better when their drunk and up till 4 like me''.

The live feed was important part of the BB experience for me as it allowed me to form an unedited opinion of what was happening and what was being said instead of the "party line" edits shown on ch 4 highlights.

Wierd thread. Surely it's basic math that more coverage is a good thing even if you do not watch it? Less coverage is bad because viewers are lost.

Simple.

I know, it's strange that BB forums should suddenly be so full of people celebrating the end of the 24/7 live feed.

Did these people post during past BBs saying they wished BB would cut the live feed?

Why have they turned against BB?

Well Alot of BB Viewers today (mainly young ones)
Didnt even watch BB1!!

And If you watched BB9 Live feed 24 hours a day like I Did, You would know that they very very rarely put bird noises on, so you cant even use that to insult them over Live Feed!

And The highlight show will be edited so the producers can fix it to whoever they want to win!
So you really need to think more about this before you bother posting such a stupid thread.

And BBLB Dosent even talk much about the Housemates they just get a bunch of stupid doctors and therapist, YAWN!
And Diary room uncut is axed, that was like one of our only ways to really get to know the housemates in the DR!

And BBBM Is only on one night a week!
Basically Live feed would be the only thing that keeps BB10 Going and they got rid of that, so this whole series will be crap and the least watched

Nobody seems to be able to respond to my point that the live feed is also highly edited. Also, BBDodge, leave the patronisation to the pros mate. Nobody is celebrating live feed demise. We just aint jumping off bridges over the fucking thing.

Actualy I think the thread makes a valid point. Your points would be more valid too if you could make at least one post in this forum where you toned down your thick, self imposed uber cool agressive gimmick.

I think watching the live feed for twenty four hours a day [yeah, right] must have fried your brains up, kid.

Your point is utterly mute. There's 40+ cameras in there and plenty of mics. They do not magically switch angles and inputs while filtering out naughtiness and swearing all by themselves. There's far more actual editors working on the highlight show so 'mildly edited' would be a much better description if you want to maintain any sort of meaningful context.

You think that is all they filter out? I have sat their like a complete moron in the past while perfectly tame, interesting discussions and tasks were blocked by close up shots of furniture and constant sound dips. At least watching the highlight show I know it is blatantly edited for a reason. The point still stands, and always will stand, that the live feed is edited just like the highlights show is. In fact, it is edited specificaly to save bits for the highlight show. I know which one im watching. All shows suffer editing to a degree. I would rather give in to Channel 4 and not pretend I am giving the finger to the system by watching the housemates sit at the edge of a pool for four hours.
