Not sure if this is the right place to share these but since this is a design section I assume this is right.

I was commissioned to design some DVD covers for a series boxset for Strictly Come Dancing, and I thought I would share them with you here. At the request of the client I started with series 10 first and have worked backwards.

Hey peeps, it's been a while since I posted these so I'll keep you on track with my progress so far.

I have managed to do 3 more covers since last time, preparing series 4, 5 and 6, but from this point on finding profile images of the contestants is getting harder so the chances of going earlier then this is unlikely, if any one of you could provide me with some of the early profile pics I would really appreciate it.

Also I would like some of your queries concerning colour schemes of the covers, I would like to have the idea of each cover having it's own identity and individual colour, but at the same time I don't want anything which seems too out of place with the strictly colour scheme on a whole, so as a result we are left with different versions of the same blue and purple template, although I did push the boat out with green for series 5 (which I would like feedback on).

As ever feedback is appreciated, and don't be afraid to post any criticisms with the covers, as I mentioned I don't watch the show myself so a lot of the choices I've made with the cast etc is all guesswork.

2 and 3 have been added. It was absolutely horrid attempting to find the cast pictures for the early seasons, so I have either had to do some pretty dodgy chopping or use images which weren't cast photos, hopefully though people are OK and if there are any issues with cast selection or colour schemes I will get them changed.

Well I managed to get this done over the course of today, so fingers crossed it is up to everybody's expectations:


I want to make a couple of things clear for everyone before they buzz into this thread, I am not a Strictly die-hard in the way that a lot of people are on this forum, the decisions that I have made have been due to a combination of what the forums have been saying, the perception of the casuals and to a friend of mine who does follow the show. My decision to include Mark I can imagine is going to be a controversial one, but I told myself that I wanted at least one male to make the foursome on the front row, and of the realistic choices for males he was the one I felt was most justified, plus I like to have the novelty act on the cover and I feel Mark deserves that over Dave.

I do stress this is work in progress and I am willing to change it should the feedback be too bad, but until then I hope you like the design and any feedback is appreciated.
