Big Brother: Power Trip The Most Twisted Series Ever?

31 May, 2014 - 11:23 AM by Josy

This year's looming Big Brother is set to be the most twisted series to date.

Dawn evictions, a secret house and even access to social media for one housemate to find out what the public think of them are just some of the things mentioned lately.

Producers have clicked on to the fact that most of the twists and turns have become familiar and housemates have been guessing correctly
how things were going to play out. So they are now trying to add in twists that they wont be guessable and that will deliver the shock factor.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Executive producer Dennis O’Connor said:

“We are looking at ways to surprise the housemates and keep them on their feet”.

Big Brother:Power Trip begins on Thursday 5th of June with a split launch that continues on the Friday.

So what do you think of the twists mentioned above? Are you excited for Big Brother: Power Trip? Let us know in the forum.

It's the daily star so it might be a bit OTT

But still wish they didn't :/

Bit of a non article to me. Mentions a second house in the title but not in the article itself.

Second house

But this sounds good

dawn evictions/kick someone out at 6am
This part is awful

Another plot which is being considered to stir up trouble is to allow one of the housemates access to social network site Twitter.

It means they will be able to read what fans think of the show, and which housemates are popular.

Eww @ any social media interactions, this could be the worst series yet.

The only way I'll be in the slightest way happy about this social media thing is if Big Brother doesn't monitor the tweets. We can mess with their minds.

Tell them things other housemates have said

6am evictions sound good to me, but is that possible to happen with the council restrictions?
And no ipads.

There is no need at all to allow any housemate access to outside info, it completely ruins the point of the isolation from the outside world..

And the excuse seems to be 'to stir up trouble' well there plenty other ways that can be done, play back bitchy convos into the house, show hm's talking about others on the plasma and so on.

If they are secret evictions at that time in the morning there will be no crowd so won't need any permissions.

Even that though, why are they intent on stirring up trouble... just let it occur naturally like it did in the earlier series... :/

Yeah I agree with you 100% and hate when they force the drama/arguments/showmances on us my point was that the excuse they are using for allowing outside info is flawed.

This is one of the worst possible breaches of the outside contact rule. If it comes to fruition the producer(s) responsible should be fired.

Brining ipads in will just back fire too much outside info will just make them walk out, good luck to them.

This social media thing

Also, evicting them at 6am is a fabulous idea in theory, as long as they're not planning to do it live

Most of the show is flawed now, they change things as they see fit (see only 2 normal rounds of nominations last series) to either stir up drama or try and save certain HMs. This new development with social media is totally ridiculous, and I hope they reconsider the way they go about it.
