All The New Housemates To Be Revealed Two Days Before Launch

Channel 5 have said, that for the first time, they will be revealing the housemates for the new series of Big Brother before the launch show. There will be a 48 hour countdown between Friday and Sunday, at the end of which all the housemates for Tuesday's launch show will be revealed. In a press release they said... Quote: Countdown to Official Housemates Reveal… For the first time ever in Big Brother history, Channel 5 is officially revealing the new Housemates before launch. Channel 5 today announces that for the first time ever in Big Brother history the new Housemates will officially be revealed before the Live Launch show. The Big Brother: Timebomb 48-hour countdown will commence at 00:01am on Friday 8th May on Big Brother’s official Twitter feed @BBUK (https://twitter.com/bbuk) and on the official Big Brother website (bigbrother.channel5.com). Once the countdown hits zero at 00:01am on Sunday 10th May all of this year’s new housemates will officially be revealed on @BBUK and bigbrother.channel5.com. BB fans will have two days to get to know the new housemates before they see them walk live into the Big Brother arena; meet Emma Willis and enter the doors of the most famous house in Britain. Big Brother has scoured the UK and Ireland once again for a fantastic troop of eccentric, entertaining and unique Housemates. yeah i've decided i'm not going to look at all, otherwise the launch will be crap not here for me blanking the spoilers out for 2 days then they put pictures of them all on screen within the first 3 minutes of the launch though...

This is not the first time in Big Brother history - I remember seeing a two-page spread on the new Housemates in Big Brother 2 before the first show aired. Obviously they had already gone into the house by that point as they didn't do live launches back then, but it definitely had their official press shots and bios in the newspaper.
