I'll always like XIII, a lot of people hated it for what it wasn't rather then what it was, a flawed but enjoyable game. The more I think about the story the more I like it.
I'll definitely be picking up it's sequel, it looks like everything that wasn't great about XIII has been improved. |

XIII was good but it wasn't amazing like Final Fantasy should be for me Lost Odyssey was a much better game with a better storyline and was more like what FFXIII should have been but that doesn't really surprise me since Hironobu Sakaguchi produced it

I think i have accepted that the peak of Final Fantasy ( 1997-2002 ) has well and truly past now

I don't think splitting the story into different chapters helps at all either

it affected the whole game for me it made it seem a lot shorter because you realise that each chapter you complete the further in the game you progress where as in the older games you don't know where you are in the game

^^ Those are pretty glorious tbh
Played through most of X recently... I like it, but I seethingly hate Tidus. -.- Other than him it's good set of characters, a few of them perhaps not utilized to their potential. I like the battle system and sphere grid though. Also it's actually very linear which I wasn't expecting. The storyline's okay I guess, but I appreciate that it's a different route from other Final Fantasy's. I'm also playing VI at the moment, I haven't got very far (just got Gau) but I seriously do not remember it being a cheerful/comical as it is so far . Like with Spoiler: he's seemed ridiculously ho-hum about it. I'm expecting it to get darker later on in the game. Also, although I like the fact there's so many characters so far they're all very underdeveloped, but again, I'm still not very far. I feel like I know very little about them and in terms of personality at the moment I couldn't really seperate Sabin from Locke, Celes from Terra etc. I've had Gau for like 15 minutes and I want him to just **** off. Once I've finished both of these, I'm gonna get IV for DS. It's probably my favourite after IX. |

How long has everyone been waiting for "Final Fantasy XV?" That's eight years of waiting, anticipating, and expecting since its initial production in 2006. And within those eight years, everyone is setting very high expectations of what the game will be like.
At E3 2014, fans anxiously anticipated the showing of the "Final Fantasy XV" preview and it did not disappoint. The human characters were sublime. They were hyper-realistic and no game right now could match it. However, that was all the info given at E3 since Square Enix didn't want to divulge any more details. What everyone knows is that the game is still being developed. "Final Fantasy" fans are worried about the game, and they are really hoping that it will meet all their high expectations. On the other hand, Hajime Tabata, co-director of the game, has something else to worry about — the future of console gaming in Japan. Japan's console market has not been doing well. In fact, it's down $1 billion from the mobile market, which is booming in Japan right now. Hence, this puts "Final Fantasy XV" on a pedestal together with hopes that it will revive the console market of Japan. "Japanese market is shifting toward handheld or smartphone devices," Tabata told Kotaku. "It's pretty unique to Japan, where everyone is transporting—they have long train rides and bus rides to work, they have time to play handheld devices, or they're spending more time in their own rooms vs. spending more time in the living room." Tabata also said that mobile games are more accessible, but it isn't something he is used to doing. Still, Tabata hopes that the dying console market in Japan will be revitalized by "Final Fantasy XV." Sales of the first playstation were average before FFVII came out so hopefully there is a similar impact in Japan when FFVX comes out
