Default I was at the X Factor Bootcamp filming today!

It was such an amazing day! It was first off, SO surreal seeing all the judges and presenters in person. Cheryl is so beautiful in real life and Dermot is soooo tiny! haha. I got in que at 8am and we weren't let in until 2pm, because Dermot had to do filming and we had to wait for the judges to arrive before we could get in. As you can imagine it was a huge uproar when the cars arrived and everyone was rushing to the front of the gates. Cheryl came like 45 minutes late and she still had the biggest applause when she got out. Below are pictures of Dermot filming his bit of introducing Bootcamp, where they made us all scream, bad pic of Cheryl arriving and a picture of Holly filming for ITV2:

So later at about 2:30pm, my side got ushered into the theatre and we got seated and I got great seats just a few rows behind the judges table. It's so shiny and futuristic! There was this warmup guy before hand and then Dermot came on and started taking the piss out of people. Then they made everyone film this scene where it's pitch back whilst he spoke, and when the lights came on we all had to jump up and scream. They kept effing it up though so we had to keep doing it! lol The Bootcamp stage:

Afterwards the judges came out and each of them got a really good applause, more-so Cheryl though. She had lots of support banners. They got seated and Simon spoke to us all and explained they had chosen the final 50 and 30 of them would be eliminated at this stage, but that was to be in private and no audience. Photos:

Top 50:

There is A LOT of talent this year. I feel bad for them all because there's truly so many that deserve to be in the live shows and won't be. Look out for a girl group named Frank. They were only put together 24 hours ago but are absolutely amazing. They're like a new and improved Mis-Teeq and they're completely different to ANY band ever on X Factor.

LOTS OF HOT GUYS TOO Thanks for reading! They made us turn off cameras and mobiles whilst filming so there's none of the acts performing, sorry!

I'm not looking forward to having to go through about 104 weeks of tedious auditions before we get to see any decent singers.

But yeh - great recap, and great pics! Thanks!

Thanks for posting this, I'm really looking forward to it now.

How come only 20 are going through though? Only 5 acts each at the Judge's Houses this year?

I'm glad you had a good time but I must say the idea of there being an audience still hasn't won me over.

It's crap isn't it?

The atmosphere with just 4 judges was so much better when someone rubbish came on, made it much funnier.

I don't blame you! Sometimes the audience wouldn't shut up and Simon had to tell everyone off LOL but it added a great atmosphere to the performers, because you could tell they were so nervous. It probably gave them a bit of much needed confidence.

I think about 3/4 acts got a huge standing ovation.

I think the host said 6, so unless they meant around 30 would be eliminated?

I agree. They should have kept it as it was.

Looks like you had fun Mark.

Maybe you saw the winner... :P

I went on Saturday too! Had a great time despite the absolute mess they made of the ques! Have to agree with MarkWaldorf and say Frank were my favourite of the day. I didn't see anyone absolutely outstanding that stood out as a possible winner.

I got there at about 10:45 and I got really lucky with how they split the queue as I ended up right at the front when the judges arrived so managed to get autographs and photos with Louis and Cheryl. Didn't manage to get Dannii's and Simon more or less ran straight in!

Great to see you had a great time.
My friend went :] She has bright blue/green/blonde hair, so she'll probably stand out in the crowd mwaha.
