Default Area 51

I have discovered this quite recently and am quite fascinated by the whole secrecy surrounding it all. Apparently officially its a military airbase or something. And until quite recently, according to official U.S. statements, it didnt even exist :S

Im only going on what I can find on google and youtube, which is probably just a load of bollocks but I fail to see how noone knows anything at all about it

I have a feeling this is going to be my new obsession for a few days, just like when I discovered all the 9/11 conspiracy stuff

Area 51... best level in Tomb Raider 3.

I think the whole Area 51 conspiricy is mostly perpetuated by people who live in trailers in the desert, generally wear a filthy baseball cap and a vest and are called Billy Bob.

I don't think they'd actually have aliens or anything like that there, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's something dodgy going on, given the secrecy surrounding the place

Hicks on the money as usual.

I have horror stories of trying to finish Tomb Raider III as a child. One heck of a tough game.

Its quite a large airbase stuck in the Nevadan desert, in the middle of a very large training and bombing area. Not exactly the place where people either walk to or drive.

Construction workers for it were flown in direct, and then directly out when finished, they had no real idea where they were. Initial construction was carried out during the paranoia of the cold war.

Air force staff at the base sign extra security agreements etc.

Its an experimental and testing station for new aircraft. It also has manufacturing areas for assembly of fuselages etc which are brought in and then assembled on site. Pre acceptance testing is carried out there for stealth aircraft etc prior to coming online as air force inventory, consequently the high level of secrecty surrounding the base. Also a possible excuse for the trailer living locals to claim strange flying things at wierd times.

Oh Vicky don't go all conspiracist!

just because we don't get told absolutely everything it doesn't mean little green aliens are visiting. Certain places and activities just need to be kept a secret for security reasons.

Loved that and the other early TR games. When you consider games like Tomb Raider Underworld can be easily finished in 2 days, you long for the days when games were lengthy and challenging.

And Area 51 is something that has always interested me, mostly due to the mystery surrounding it.

Nothing strange going on there I don't think. I was kinda obsessed with area 51 when I was like 13/14, watching badly made conspiracy videos on Youtbe for hours at a time lmao. But seriously, I've concluded that theres no chance of anything extra-terrestrial going on down there. It was built to test secret planes (that explains the strange noises, shapes and lights in the sky) during the cold war, and it's still used for that function today, going by more trusted reports and sightings. I think operations there are actually starting to wind down now. The main reason a lot of people don't go anywhere near is because it's probably riddled with nuclear fallout from countless bomb tests. That almost definitely also explains the deformed and mutilated animal carcasses found near to the base regularly. Anyone who thinks aliens are there is stupid*

*Can legally say that coz I was convinced there were aliens there when I way younger lulz

btw- there are many more even more secretive almost unknown bases than Area 51 dotted around the US that have far stranger stories surrounding them.

When I get things in my head I must find out as much as possible about them before I can even consider leaving it

Ever wonder how all this new military technology just suddenly appears? It doesn't, area 51 is likely involved in D&D of military technology, the fact it is out in the desert makes it a perfect testing area - and also explains a lot of this UFO crap. That's not a conspiracy theory, it's common sense

Or ya know, maybe Majestic 12 and the Illuminati are there having a tea party with the Freemasons and Bilderberg group, while the extra terrestrials serve them wine from the holy grail.

Very true, stealth aircraft were tested there in the early to mid 80's the first operational squadrons of F117's were formed there in 1983 -4 before moving to nearby Tonopah Air base, and forming the 4450th Tactical Group.

B2 units were raised there in mid to late 1980's

F22 Raptors also flew acceptance and op wind up testing and training from there

No speakers at work... damn. But Hicks will be, like you say, on the money.

I so miss the Tomb Raiders the way they used to be before they were dumbed down. I might play TR3 tonight, for old time's sake.

Roswell and area 51 are sooo 1940's...
The US givernment isn;'t stuypid enuf to keep any of the good stuff there any more.

Now that area 51 is so famous, i'm sure there is nothing there any more, and i'm sure they steam cleaned the whole place to leave no trace.

The good stuff is now at a base that no one knows about for sure.

Alaska is a big state with very few roads.

The US Air Force has issued a warning over 'Storm Area 51' Facebook event.

Quote:
Storm Area 51: US Air Force warns over Facebook event
16 July 2019

It started as a bit of a joke, but now the US Air Force has told people not to go near Area 51.

More than a million people have RSVP'd to an event on Facebook, threatening to storm the top-secret base in Nevada, which some believe is home to aliens.

Thousands have commented on the page, which reads: "We can move faster than their bullets. Let's see them aliens."

A spokeswoman for the Air Force has told The Washington Post it is "ready to protect America and its assets".

Facebook user Jackson Barnes wrote on the event page: "Hello US government, this is a joke, and I do not actually intend to go ahead with this plan".

"I just thought it would be funny and get me some thumbsy uppies on the Internet. I'm not responsible if people decide to actually storm area 51."

But the Air Force isn't seeing the funny side.

"[Area 51] is an open training range for the US Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces," the spokeswoman said.....
