Big Brother ITV2 Reboot Hit by House Location Setback Due to Delay

3 Apr, 2023 - 3:21 PM by James

The much-anticipated reboot of Big Brother on ITV2 has hit another snag as the location for the show's house has fallen through due to the delay in scheduling. The show was initially pushed back from spring to autumn, causing a headache for the production crew, which affected staff contracts and availability. The new setback has forced show bosses to go back to the drawing board, which has added to the difficulties faced by the production team.

However, an insider revealed that the production team has now found a new location and is close to finalizing it. The team is confident that the new location will be perfect for the rebooted show, and they want to get it right. They are hoping to make up for lost time and ensure that viewers will love the new Big Brother house when they see it.

The rebooted Big Brother show has been highly anticipated by reality TV fans, and the delay has only added to the excitement. The show was initially scheduled to air in the spring, but the launch was postponed until the autumn, leaving fans waiting anxiously for updates. While the new delay in finding a location for the show's house is a setback, it appears that the production team is working hard to ensure that the rebooted show lives up to expectations.

ITV has not yet commented on the latest development, but fans of the show will be hoping for news of a firm premiere date for the much-loved reality show.

BIG Brother's long-awaited re-boot has been thrown into chaos after bosses were dealt "a real blow."

The Sun was first to report how the reality TV show was pushed back from spring to autumn in the first in a series of delays.

Now we can exclusively reveal that schedule delay has created an additional nightmare for show bosses as the house in which they had planned to shoot the series has also fallen through - due to the change in timetable.

An insider has told us: "Production thought they had found the perfect location to shoot the new series in, but the show being pushed back by so many months meant the place they wanted was no longer available at that time.

"It's been a real blow as bosses have had to go back to the drawing board, and it's another headache for the show as the delay already messed with crew availability and annoyed some production staff who had their contracts paused or cancelled."

Yet there appears to be some positive news for reality TV fans.

The source added: "The good news is the team have now found a new location and are very close to finalising it.

"There shouldn't be any more delays now and they are really happy with the place they have found.

"They know there is a lot riding on this reboot and they want to get it perfect - they're confident it will be worth the wait and viewers will love the new Big Brother house when they see it."

The Sun has approached ITV for comment.

Previously, insiders working on Big Brother said some staff were angry about the delay to the production.

The Sun previously revealed how Big Brother would air later next year on ITV2 and ITVX with a huge fanfare.

Meanwhile, broadcaster Aj Odudu is currently the favourite to front the re-boot.

Sounds like it won't be a custom built house then.

I can tell that 2025 we will still be wondering when this will be starting. ITV are not committed to this project. every push back is evidence.

Do we know what this house location was supposed to be?

I wonder if they could rebuild the one in Bow... That was a good location.

This is interesting. Makes me think they're using a pre-existing structure instead of building a purpose-built house. Is ITV looking to make more than one season? If so, what difference does it make if the "original location" isn't available due to the schedule change?

A press officer at ITV has indicated to me that it would be a “few more weeks” before we get confirmation of location

So this week then?

They will want to make a formal announcement before someone spots a planning application for the temporary house and portacabins for the production team, plus details like the number of permitted live shows and the curfew. I assume it will be for 1 year initially.

Apparently some news is coming today. I believe either Marcus is to be confirmed, or a house location will. Hey, maybe it will be both!
