Big Brother the most searched for TV show on Yahoo in 2014

According to data released by the search engine Yahoo, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother were the most searched for television shows, ahead of ratings giants such as Strictly Come Dancing, Eastenders and The X Factor. Game of Thrones was second.

These are the top ten Most searched for TV shows in the UK, on Yahoo in 2014. From https://uk.news.yahoo.com/year-in-review/

1. Big Brother/ Celebrity Big Brother
2. Game of Thrones
3. EastEnders
4. Strictly Come Dancing
5. The X Factor
6. Coronation Street
7. Britain’s Got Talent
8. The Walking Dead
9. This Morning
10. The Voice

Obviously the nightly nature of the show, with people interested in news and opinion about the housemates leads to a high number of searches.

The ratings for BB15 were down to an average of 1.6 million a night from 1.9 million for BB14, however the January Celebrity BB in 2014 got the highest rating for Big Brother since it moved to Channel 5.
