Glee season 3 spoilers: Santana won’t start ‘sleeping with boys again!’

Ryan Murphy has admitted that he is thinking carefully about how to approach Santana’s sexuality in the upcoming third season of Glee.

The highly sexualised brunette bombshell revealed that she was a lesbian in season two of the hit Fox musical TV show and Murphy has assured fans that there is no going back and that Santana is now ‘officially a lesbian’ and will get plenty of action in the new episodes.

Speaking about how he will write Santana’s storylines, Murphy told TV Line:



“I don’t know what we’re doing with that. The thing we’re not going to do is something I would feel is disingenuous — Santana being like, ‘Oh, I’m going to try sleeping with boys again.’ No, Santana is now officially a lesbian and will be dealing with that as Kurt did [his own sexuality].”

Though it seems that the cheerleading singer may not have to wait as long as Kurt did for a bit of action.

Ryan joked:

“Brittany with a coupla wine coolers in her is good to go, so never say never.”

He added:

“But we haven’t really [worked out] that story. All I can say is we will be true to Santana’s sexual orientation.”

Mike(Harrys) always been going to be a regular known that since end of s1 when they made Britt and Santana regs. App he and Tina are going to have a big storyline next year which hopefully will bring them to the forefront.
I havent heard anything apart from here about Lauren though. If that is true then not really surprising as shes not a regular like Sam but annoying.

Fave performance i loved the warblers doing teenage dream but they were really close to me. Also loved DSB and i also loved Kurt/Rachel happy days duet. Also loved somebdy to love at the end as well. But i loved them all

The third season of Glee will see the show go "back to basics", a Fox chief has revealed.

The network's programming president Kevin Reilly claimed that Glee executives Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy had opted to scale back the musical comedy for the forthcoming run, axing guest stars and tribute episodes to make way for more "focused" storylines.

"I sat down with Brad Falchuk and Ryan and talked about this season's arc. My two cohorts at Fox were fighting back tears at one point," Reilly said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "The season feels so focused this year. It's a very back to basics year.

"We're going to focus on our core cast... Initially, there's not going to be any big guest stars or tribute [shows] in the first batch of episodes. And in general, [back to basics] will be the focus for the season. There's an arc that will drive the year."

Reilly also teased the season's much-discussed graduation of three Glee characters, believed to be Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer), as well as a possible New-York based spinoff show.

"There will be a graduation at the end and three will graduate. There will be surprises about how that will play out," he said.

"We haven't said we're not doing [a spinoff]. Ryan did talk to all the actors about it [but] the spinoff will stay in the wind. We collectively decided to revisit it in the back half of the year."

The 'Fight For This Love' singer, who was axed from The X Factor USA back in June, could land cameos in the hit US TV shows, The Mirror reports.

New manager will.i.am is said to be negotiating the deals, following news that Cole is in "advanced talks" to star in Hollywood movie What to Expect When You're Expecting alongside the likes of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez.

"Cheryl's US dream is far from over," a source told the paper. "Her people are in talks with executives involved with Glee and How I Met Your Mother to guest star Cheryl in an episode. Will reckons people in the States are really starting to sit up and take notice of her."

Glee star Matthew Morrison has previously backed Cole for a guest spot on the comedy, while Justin Bieber has apparently insisted that he will only appear on Glee if producers also give a guest role to Cole.

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Ashley Fink’s screen time will be drastically reduced following the Sept. 20 season premiere, which finds her recurring (and somewhat polarizing) character, Lauren Zizes, abruptly [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] quitting New Directions and breaking up with her steady beau Puck (Mark Saling), who spent much of Season 2 wooing the demanding, plus-sized tough girl.

The news comes a week after Fox released the show’s official Season 3 gallery pics, which featured practically every major cast member — including recurring performers Dot Marie Jones and Lauren Potter — but not Fink.

Lauren’s sudden estrangement from the New Directions crew marks a dramatic turnaround from Season 2, where her character was frequently front and center — fist-fighting with Santana, briefly serving as a manager to Mercedes, and even scoring a solo on “I Know What Boys Like.” In fact, Fink often had more screen time than established series regulars like Amber Riley.

So what’s going on? A Glee spokesperson declined to comment and Fink’s camp could not be reached. An insider, however, downplays the news, maintaining that as a recurring player, Fink’s storyline ebbs and flows much the same way Max Adler’s (Karofsky) does. Additionally, the show has to service 16 regulars, as well as arcs for four Glee Project winners. And that’s not even including new recurring castmembers Vanessa Lengies and LaMarcus Tinker.

Only managed 640k on Sky1 last night, was to be expected seeing as less people have Sky1 than E4. More people will illegally download the episodes online now, but I think a lot of people have turned off after Season 2 because they thought the quality decreased.

I liked the new episode but it wasn't this astounding game changer like all the critics had made it out to be. Calling it the best episode ever was very far fetched. A show source confirms to us the TVLine.com report that Overstreet is finalizing a deal to return to Glee as a recurring character (not a series regular) as early as episode eight. According to our source, Sam will come back for Sectionals. No word yet on exactly how his return to Lima will be written in, but all we know about Sam this season is that he did date Mercedes during the summer until his family moved out of state.

Loved the episode. Felt so bad for Santana. Can relate to her cause I've been dealing with the same thing (although I wasn't outed nor did I bully anyone). But I really liked it. I agree that the episode was really good, it felt like the best one this season. I liked most of the mash ups, would have liked to have heard Gaga's You and I done on it's own though. Felt for Santana, Finn was such a douchebag to her in this ep. I felt little sympathy for Santana, I believe they call that Karma. It's bad writing really.

Awful, pointless episode. It served no purpose, there was no character development. The second half in particular with the black and white stuff felt like such a chore to watch, it was horrible. I really liked the latest episode too, it felt like an episode from Season 1, big improvement on the last few. Loved Helen Mirren doing Becky's narration, I read she had a role in an episode a while back but I didn't know she was going to be just a voiceover, it was a nice touch though. Really felt sorry for Becky in this ep, the line at the end about Artie dumping her because she had downs was so sad yet true. Don't like Mercedes and Sam as a couple, for me they just don't work together. The Will/Emma stuff for me is very dull but I did like the We Found Love number even though it seemed cheesy and unbelievable. I also hope Rachel says no to Finn, he is such a gormless character. She's better off on her own IMO.

Yep, agree on both. The coloring was so bad in the MJ episode, it was hard to see anything during the "Bad" performance and in the Sexy and I Know It performance on next week's ep the editing is all over the place with characters moving around from shot to shot. So annoying.

Yep, she has a lovely voice. Her duet with Rachel in season 2 "I Feel Pretty / Unpretty" is still one of my favorite Glee covers ever, I'd like to see them duet again.

I think Chord fell out with them and that's why he left. I don't think it had anything to with his "music career". They needed him back because they'd killed off Lauren and the rest of ND and they needed members. Where is he staying? In the streets?

I don't know if it's true. It's just what I've been reading.

If it is true, then it's very unlike the show to have something like that. Not sure if I want it. If it's true, then if they do it right it'll be very powerful. The whole "It Gets Better" campaign has been big last year and I think that it would boost awareness. But knowing Glee, it'll be like he did something completely unrealistic and threw himself in front of a train.
