Um..no. :nono: Fags -not so much. And if you had a choice of a balanced nutritious diet versus beer, then skip the beer. But beer isn't BAD in moderation, it is quite nutritious - and to a Newcastle lad it's obviously more appealing than endless banana's, and chickpeas and rice or whatever. It actually contains a lot of vitamins and minerals (and calories.) And it helps you forget how miserable you are, right? :hugesmile: Short term he is having what I would have. :blush:

In my mind £10 isn't a lot for food, so in an environment like a prison with such a tense atmosphere I think I'd also spend my money on booze and fags. At least it would give me some pleasures for the week, the money wouldn't buy much nutritious food and BB provide the basic foods for the housemates.

Same here. He was being selfish and I don't blame him. If he'd got food they'd all have used it. Once he was told everyone was getting their own stuff he just went for booze and fags (which he'll be able to keep an eye on, unlike chicken etc which would go in the fridge)

I don't know anywhere that you can get colourings for only 20p a bottle so if that is the case then £10 on food would go a lot further indeed.

Last week they had pizzas, mcdonalds etc.

Fair enough, give them some booze if they are being boring, but there is no reason to be stuffing them full of takeaways everynight. Its a wonder everyone else hasnt given up on the tasks too really, why should they try when if they dont they still get what they want? :laugh:
