What do you think of the coaches?

Think they should have gone with will young over the guy from the script I also think the series will last 2 seasons maybe 3 and then finish. Can't see it being a major success and I don't think tat it will get the press attention like the x factor does.

I have to agree, I was on DS and they were all like IT'S ****ING DREADFUL, NOT WATCHING ANYMORE. I was all shut up, it's the first show :idc:

I loved the banter, and they didn't even get that either.

It kind of threw me that all of them were good, but that makes me want to watch even more. Even the two who weren't chosen would still have got thru to bootcamp on XF.

Just watched it, a lot better than all the other talent shows. All the judges are actually likeable aswell, there is usually at least one that no one can stand (expected it to be Will but I thought he came across quite well and funny).

BBC One's new singing contest averaged 8.43m (37.6%) between 7pm and 8.20pm, peaking with 9.6m (42.3%) at 7.45pm.

Notably, The Voice has premiered with a much higher audience than The X Factor in 2004 and Britain's Got Talent in 2007.

I imagine they will dip by a couple of million next week who didn't think it was what they expected. But I think for a debut show it's lived up to the hype.

Didn't think i would do but i very much enjoyed this last night. Good banter between the coaches and not ridiculous petty squabbles was refreshing.

The one thing i would say though is, you don;t need a backround story before every act, play 3 or 4 performances in a row sometimes.

On the whole though, very good show.

I loved it. The judges have a really good chemistry and banter with each other. No stupid or novelty acts is a bonus.
I could do without the sob stories still, my major problem with all these sorts of shows. I'd rather they just stuck to telling us their name, age, where they're from and their background with music etc. Or just bring the acts on one after the other, much more preferable to spending 10 minutes with each one whilst their nan has a breakdown backstage.

I just hope it doesn't dip once we're passed blind auditions.

I'm expecting in the next few weeks for some killer auditions, while last night were good and some better than any of the final 16 in last years X Factor, no one really made me go AMAZING. So hopefully we'll get that soon.

Yes, I like the fact you can't say 'winner' yet either, whereas with BGT, you know you've got like 4 semi finalists already, with one destined for the final if they don't screw up.

They all have helpers, I think at the battle rounds to help them decide (Not sure if I've made that up) but none of them are MAJOR STARS from what I hear.

I would have to check. I know who Tom has anyway, just because they're one of my new favourite artists.

Meh, I only know one song by them, hence why I said I consider them to be; not that they are :tongue: I'm aware they had other hits but I don't remember what they're called and am pretty sure I've never heard them. He seems like a really non-descript choice, like surely there were plenty of other people they could have asked/chosen over him. Picking Jessie J was a bit of a stretch tbh, never mind him.
