Suzette was far from irrelevant yw

Who's Suzette ?

I think it's looking like Gary is a goner for sure (fingers crossed X) and the funniest thing about it is that even with all of his self proclaimed BB gameplay superiority he appears to have fallen really hard for the classic and much used "you're not the target, honest...".
I don't think there's enough glitter in Canada to save him now!
I think once he's gone Topaz will fall right into line with the East-Coast Alliance's plan to oust either (or both!) Alec and Peter!
I was very happy to hear so much anti 'The Shield' talk on tonight's episode! I always thought Peter was a total plum but i think now Alec has risen to the spot of my least favourite houseguest this year by a long way!!! I would gladly even swap him for Tom at this point without a second thought. At least Tom gave us something to talk about. Alec's just a boring, egomaniacal highly dislikable tosser!
I just hope anyone but Peter or Alec wins HOH next week. It should make for an extremely watchable show next week. I think Jillian or Emmett would be the best outcome for HOH. I would say Topaz so she can get her revenge on Alec but i think if Gary is gone that Alec will be able to snake his way back into her good books and fool her into making some terrible decisions.

Talla was so annoying last night. First talking to Gary like he's a little kid giving him orders, and then her annoying screaming and pretending to be scared during the movie, then using it as an excuse to get into Alec's bed. What an obnoxious pathetic person she is. I really dislike her.

I'm glad Gary and Topaz put her in her place.

As much as I like Emmett and Andrew as people, I really don't want their three-way alliance with Jillian controlling things because it'll be the dullest final few weeks possible. Hoping Alec or Peter win HoH because otherwise we're ****ed

Why does Glitter have to leave :( it's times like these I miss Liza and Tom...

Topaz is a complete twat!!!
She's potentially just helped the guy who completely fu**ed her over to control the game. Alec and Peter are such a vile pair of creeps and they need to go!
I kinda' hope the East-Coasters have gooten wind of Topaz' big mouth and decide to evict her instead of Gary!
Gary would be a far better person to have in the house over the coming weeks than Topaz. She's an absolute idiot!

If I wanted to watch make-out sessions I'd go to my local park or the cinema, and if I wanted to watch someone have a nice chat and a cup of tea I'd go to Starbucks, the two things you listed make for much more interesting viewing on a live feed

It's supposed to capture my attention, those three couldn't make for duller viewing. Admittedly Gary leaving is the bigger problem here but those three are the worst of the seven left in terms of entertainment at least

JTM45

Alec's really riveting to watch with his dead behind the eyes, emotionless facial expression and watching Peter for more than a micro-second is like watching and listening to someone dragging their nails across a blackboard.
"Different strokes..." though i suppose!

I suppose watching Alec manipulating and making an even bigger fool of Topaz could be amusing for about 5 seconds but it's just not enough for me so i'm sticking with supporting Andrew, Emmett and Jillian.

Is it a double eviction this week?

Ugh, I'm happy that Jillian won, and I hope this means Alec and Peter go home this week, but I'm a little mad that Andrew has been able to float his way through the game and still have a high chance of making f3 with Emmett and Jillian.

I hope Talla and Topaz can be the underdogs and pull through for a surprise f2. I would LOVE that!

Mokka
05-04-2013, 05:25 PM
Andrew is no floater.

He has won two HoH ( one by default but still ) and a veto. He waited till the right time to do it but he is holding his own. He has also played the game behind the scenes. Just because he wasn't in with Alec or Emmett's alliances from the beginning does not make him a floater, it makes him smart.

He got Gary out. That is no small feat

Marc

They'll be worried Alec will win the next HoH and will want him out. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Alec isn't Jillians main target

Backing up a couple of days but Gary had no right to complain he was being treated like a child when he was acting like one over the slop situation. And I really like to see someone point out to him that his elected nickname is actually a notorious paeodophile.

Glad he's gone though and he won back a bit of respect for how he handled it as apart from evicting Tom (and even that was more about him being a dick than game) it's the first really smart game move they've made as a household.

and I hate how they've started cutting to an ad break while the evictee is saying their goodbyes :( I want to see him leave ffs

Completely agree - and on the whole the (not) live shows just haven't felt as polished the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully Alec and Peter both gone in one episode!!!! Ideal scenario. I do love it when such vomit-inducing smugness gets its comeuppance!

Now that would be brilliant.

Also another irritation which I'm sure I've ironically enough bought up before but to recap I wish the opening recaps only recapped what was actually relevent to the episode. The Veto episode spent the first 30 seconds or so recapping Suzettes eviction which was just completely irrelevent to the episode.

Yeah I don't even understand how that competition was difficult or challenging. Maybe at most it was hell on their ankles, but not really their arms. I've only seen the bit on the live show, so maybe most of the competition was sloped downward, but that type of challenge works much better up high.

The housemates mentioned on live feed that night that Emmett was disqualified from the comp. I imagine it was for just that, sitting down, but I don't know why he was not told to stand like everyone else if that was the case.

I didn't look hard to us from a viewer standpoint, but the girls were cold enough to claim hypothermia in the end. The water coming down was freezing cold and they stood under it for hours

I completely forgot about the water and wind, I was just thinking that the actual competition looked a bit pointless because it wasn't lifted. Is the ceiling in the backyard too low for a raised competition like the pirate ship from BB14?

Yes, I think because they have made an indoor backyard due to winter conditions, they are limited in the scope of the competition structures. They just aren't as big as BBUS's. I also never saw the first season of BBUS, so I don't know if they started with smaller comps and built on the idea's over the seasons.

Donovan.
06-04-2013, 08:52 PM
Yeah the house moved after BB5 and that's when we got a 2 floor house. It didn't move far though, it was just across the LA river on the same CBS studio lot.

Season 1 followed the UK format, but the budget didn't really show on competitions until season 6/7 - not that they looked cheap at the time, but now looking back they kind of do.

I think the issue with this HoH comp is the US have done similar ones before (at least 2-3 times) which involved people on a ledge holding on to a rail, but the ledge was much narrower and the conditions seems more extreme. This may look a lot better in the edit on Sunday but just looked poor on live TV for 5 minutes.

I think, judging by his chosen diet, Peter was probably just a spoilt child who was never encouraged to eat a good and balanced diet and was just given chicken nuggets and pizza to stop him throwing a tantrum!
If he had a genuine food aversion he would not have been able to eat that salad at all, let alone keep it down afterwards.

Macie Lightfoot
08-04-2013, 02:24 AM
Yes, Peter must have had such traumatic experiences with salads cherry tomatoes any every other food except for chicken nuggets and pizza and the few other things he likes to it  please, he's just picky and probably self-diagnosed himself to avoid the embarrassment.

Jack_
08-04-2013, 02:28 AM
Who the **** are you to tell or second guess what experiences other people have had? 'Just picky' and 'self-diagnosed'? So you're a Doctor now too?

Food Aversion

Food Aversion is a psychological repulsion to some foods caused by emotions associated with the food rather than by any chemical properties within the food. Unlike food allergies or food intolerance, if the offending food is unrecognizable, no adverse reaction results. Anorexia nervosa is seen as an extreme form of food aversion.

To give an example of food aversion, let's take a look at this scenario. A young boy is enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner of turkey and stuffing with his family. During the meal, his parents get into a huge argument and his father storms out, never to return. Now, as an adult, he still cannot stand to eat turkey and stuffing.

At the far end of the spectrum is the anorexic. Perhaps chubby and teased as a child, a young girl begins to associate any and all food with becoming overweight and the pain of the teasing which came along with being overweight. She now shuns all food at the risk of gaining weight and being subjected to ridicule again.

http://health.wikinut.com/Food-Aversion%3B-What-Is-it/v7pglikf/

I'd say it's more likely that you can't put aside your dislike of him for one second to maybe give the guy a bit of a break on this issue. If it were Suzette you'd have been trolling anyone who had dared to tease her

Macie Lightfoot
08-04-2013, 02:37 AM
It shouldn't have been an issue, he picked at the salad for a long time but he was able to stomach it down. If his food aversion was as serious as he hypes it up to be Big Brother wouldn't have given him such a task. He's picky, nothing wrong about it but I'm not going to sympathize with him because he's not a fan of salad.

And lol @ the random Suzette mentoin, keep grasping at straws gurl

Jack_
08-04-2013, 03:04 AM
Yeah, because he doesn't want to be on slop...he barely likes any foods as it is so why he'd want to give up those few foods and not eat for the week I'm not really sure. And what if production didn't know how serious it was? They set up a task for Emmett in the hope he'd throw up and made the rest of the houseguests freeze to an arguably risky level in the HoH comp, I'm not complaining but I don't think they're averse to setting up comps that are pushing the boundaries a little.

Only because you know it's true babe, we wouldn't have heard the last of it had been her :) so I'm afraid it's not grasping at straws, keep up the good work on the trolling btw, you've fooled almost everyone, unfortunately though the 'let's not reply to the question asked in this thread but instead lambast this person's opinion' approach doesn't work with me, you keep at it though

Macie Lightfoot
08-04-2013, 03:29 AM
If you're really implying that the Comps are inhumane and actually put the HGs at risk, then I don't even know what to say because that's beyond laughable. If Peter's food aversion was as serious as he tries to make it out to be, he wouldn't have been able to stomach the salad as easily as he was able to. He sat and sulked and picked at his food and spat a bit into the sink but it was nothing serious, he got through it. The only boundary this pushed is that Peter's extremely picky, not that Peter has a serious food aversion and he goes through extreme struggles to eat cherry tomatoes because of a traumatic experience.

And it wouldn't have been a big deal of Suzette had a similar task. For one, she wouldn't have gotten such a sympathetic edit and there sure as hell would've been people complaining about how she's all theatrics and her "food aversion" is a crock of ****. I would've loved how ridiculous she would've made the situation but I wouldn't try and pretend like she overcame so much and had a true moment of personal growth. Just like how I cracked the **** up at how outrageous her BS Canada's PoV was. But alas, yes I'm a troll because I disagree with your opinions. The only way people can disagree is if they're trolling, you sure got me nailed.

That is so ****ing pathetic and childish. You think it's just a coincidence that the only foods he eats are tasty fried foods that every one loves??

Give me a ****ing break. he's a spoilt brat, he doesn't have a "food aversion" he's just a pathetic little spoiled child.

and how funny was it on the eviction show when he said he doesn't miss his mom at all, he only see's her once a year anyway, right after we saw his mom talking about how much she missed him. lol he's such an asshole.

Jillian should just take Topaz aside and tell her that Alec is rallying against her and trying to get her evicted to save his own sorry ass. Topaz is being made to look extremely stupid at the moment (admittedly a lot of it is her own fault) by Alec and someone needs to tell her.
I bet her friends and family are sharpening knives and pitchforks ready for Alec's eviction!

Most stupid move since Marcellas - though if Peter was so sure he didn't need the Veto he could have played a stupid move himself and vetoed Alec instead of himself. I think in theory he'd probably stay if it's Topaz v Peter, but of course when you add in the factor of him pissing people off by vetoing Alec it's probably not worth the risk.

And absolutely agree about Peter getting all the secret tasks, though I thought the Tom task was oen of the best secret tasks I've seen on BB. The moose is also much better located out the back and I did like how they bought Marsha into it too.

It's a bit of a worry though that it looked like Peter was about to win HOH at the end of the episode!!!!

Are evicted houseguests allowed any contact with their family members before they whisk them off to the Jury house ? That eviction interview set-up would not work in the UK because everyone would have boo'd and hissed when Topaz was asked about Alec the snake.

Jack_

idgi why put up Talla instead of Peter.

I have a feeling Emmett wanted to backdoor him and that's why Peter tried so hard for the PoV cause he knew what was coming.

Why the **** he didn't save Topaz though is beyond me, he could've got Andrew out that way surely? The replacement nominee would've no way have been Jillian so Andrew would've been the only person left, and Talla VS Andrew would have surely resulted in:

Topaz - Andrew out
Peter - Andrew out
Jillian - Talla out

Andrew would've left, Topaz and Peter could've aligned themselves and the four-way alliance that the others have going on could've been cut down. In fact, Emmett couldn't have won HoH so it would've been Jillian and Talla VS Peter and Topaz and I'd favour one of the latter two to take that seeing as Talla's not won a comp yet. They could've then taken on Jemmett and things could've gone from there. Now as it stands it's Peter VS the four-way alliance. What the **** were you thinking Peter?!

As for the twist though omfg <3333333333

JTM45
12-04-2013, 03:13 AM
I get the feeling that during the ad break Peter probably swore his Mother's life away to not get put up on the condition that he didn't save Topaz if he won POV.
We've seen how Alec and Peter work. They'll sell out their closest allies at the drop of a hat if it benefits their game, and Peter also tried to make out he was getting revenge on Topaz on Liza's behalf (Peter the super-desperate virgin strikes again!) when he voted to evict her.

Someone has to wear the crown of biggest House Slimeball/Creep now that Alec has gone! I think Peter was already sneaking in and taking the crown to wear while Alec was sleeping anyway. He was never far behind for that title.

Thank God for Jillian otherwise Peter would be running the game 100%!!! I had my suspicions but didn't realize quite how stupid Emmett can really be until tonight.
Peter plants an extremely one-sided seed in his head, he takes it as gospel and runs upstairs and tells Jillian "you must do this....." but doesn't finish the sentence which should have gone ".....because Peter says so".

They MUST get rid of Peter on Thursday as they NEED to keep a tight alliance of Jillian, Andrew and Emmett so that when Gary comes back on Thursday they can send him straight back out! If he does get a weeks immunity (which would be ludicrous at this late stage!) then they have Talla to get rid of and then they can deal with Gary the following week.:xyxwave:
So it's basically imperative that Peter is evicted next.

I think ultimately it comes down to trust and he couldn't trust Topaz (and wasn't alligned with her directly himself), but although on the opposite side of the house he felt he could still trust Emmett and their fairly secret alliance which has been very much in the background could work in their favour. I absolutely think Emmett could be convinced to take Peter to the final two over Jillian as frankly nobody beats Jillian in this game.

Firstly this would require Emmett or Peter to actually beat Jillian in something to be in the position to get rid of her, which doesn't happen very often.
I also think Emmett would choose to stick with Jillian until the end if he gets the chance. In his mind he would have a 50/50 chance of winning that way and he's probably also thinking that even if Jillian beats him in a final 2 situation, if he plays his cards right, he could still benefit financially from Jillian winning. Moreso than he ever would from losing to Peter anyway!
I think this is all irrelevant anyway as the chances of Shouty Pete even making final 4, let alone final 2, is looking highly unlikely!

I guess it's worth noting unlike the US version there isn't a second prize, so nobody can just play for $50,000 - so that could influence how it plays out.

I'm surprised that nobody has complained about the veto lanes being labeled with the HGs names. They always need to be chosen at random tbh.
It didn't make any difference in this game though. I think the bigger concern might be that Peter was able to find two letters before most of the others had found any. Hopefully the HGs got the opportunity to search through after just to prove they were there (presumably sneaked in by producers during the eviction! ;))

Is Alec the worst Big Brother player ever?

He turned on Tom early on. Someone who he was in an alliance with and was never going to target him.

OPENLY threw an HOH competition to Andrew.

Targeted Suzette when he was HOH.

Turned on Topaz for no reason at all. Someone who would have taken him to the final 2 and was never going to turn on him.

Voted out AJ over Andrew.

Threw a POV competition when he was on the block and was the TARGET.

I don't see how anyone has topped this. Alec has to be the WORST Big Brother player ever.

It would almost be worth not watching the rest of the Season just to make sure i didn't have to watch the episode with Dan ******ing Gheesling sharing his twatting 'BB expertise' with the BB minions! You just know they're gonna' kiss his idiotic ass to a nauseating level.
Hopefully we'll be able to count on Andrew to have a good grump about him being there if nothing else!

Talla still continuosly reminding me of Nikki.
Talla's far too hot to ever remind me of Nikki. I honestly couldn't stand Nikki and when they put her back in that was the end of BB7 for me. She did so much damage to BB UK's credibility!!!

Talla's free ride has reached an intensely annoying level for me now. It's the fact that she thinks Andrew is expecting way too much for hoping she would be on the block instead of him that makes me want to slap her stupidly stupid face till it's red raw!

And i won't even start on Dan........!!!

It'll really suck if Andrew gets evicted over Talla but sadly i think that's what will probably happen.
Just about everyone there would rather be in a final two with Talla because they know that she hasn't done anything that deserves a jury members vote. That said though, when you've got bitter egomaniac losers like Alec and Peter on the Jury there's plenty of room for spite voting!

If Andrew go's i won't really care who wins (as long as it's not Talla!) any more.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Emmett's well on his way to being the best player of all time. The amount of power he's had over the entire house since week 2 and how he's adapted to every twist and turn is incredible.

JTM45
25-04-2013, 06:34 AM
People hand out these "best player of all time" accolades far too readily around these parts.
Admittedly Emmett's played it well in comparison to most of the either clueless types (Talla, AJ & Aneal) or the ones who talked themselves up but in reality couldn't see the wood for the trees (Alec, Peter, Topaz etc.) but if there had been some decent competition in there he wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes!
He's been protected at least 50% of the time by Jillian!!!
I think his success has been down to a lot of luck and a little bit of judgement.
I do think he's got the best shot out of those left in there of winning now though. I'm sure (despite what was said on this forum) Gary was talking about a prize for second place the other day too.:conf:

1) a majority of the people who play are clueless or talk themselves up but "can't see the wood for the trees" so Emmett's game would seem just as good in any other season
2) in what way does being protected at least 50% of the time by Jillian diminish his game?

JTM45
25-04-2013, 07:16 AM
I'm not saying that it diminishes his game in this particular season. I'm saying that the game he's played against the people he's played it against doesn't make him worthy of the "best player of all time" award, by a long shot! (again....this is just my opinion)

LemonJam

Perfect scenario next week:

Gary wins HoH, noms Talla and Jill, then wins veto too, takes Talla down and Talla sends Emmett home

I like Emmett but him and Jill need to leave, Gary can only win against Talla.

As long as he wins HoH though I'll be happy. I have a feeling Jill will win it and then either her or Emmett will win veto and send Gary home :(

Such a dull season, hope a big move happens to at least make it end well. Big Brother perhaps isn't geared so much to being as strategic as Survivor, so when the whole game is about strategy, and yet people are only half playing it like that, it ends up being rather lacking. Emmitt dull as hell, not challenged once except by Suzette at the start. Talla there just to get some media spotlight. Gary just agonisingly annoying, 1000x times more annoying than Joey on The Amazing Race. Sending dull Dan in to coach them, such an obvious set up for HLs time. The editing seemed to want to make Andrew look like an idiot, maybe to boost the image of Emmitt and the 'golden couple' even more.

That sucks!!!!
Talla deserves nothing yet she expects everything. I was actually disgusted with the way she spoke to Andrew in tonight's episode and i'm disgusted with the way Emmett and Jillian back-stabbed Andrew tonight. Andrew kept his word all the way with that pair and then the chose to keep the totally undeserving troglodyte Talla!

As much as i don't want him to win i'd kinda' like to see Emmett and Jillian's faces if Gary somehow snatched it from under their noses, just for the revenge factor for doing the huge dirty on Andrew like they did tonight.

I don't think Jillian stands a chance with the Jury so if he's in the final two Emmett will win.

What a dull final week we're in for!

Really hate their recent habit of only airing the beginning of the HoH comp. That's fine for endurance comps but annoying for others, especially when we've had filler Facebook crap beforehand. That's more annoying than them turning the feeds off on Sunday, as stupid as that is. They really should do the next eviction live on Sunday then the three part HoH and 3rd place eviction on Wednesday. Obviously they're probably pre-recording next Wednesdays eviction on Sunday or Monday anyway hence the live feeds being cut.

Also not liking they're leaving the entire final 3 stage until the final show. Indeed never been a fan of the final 3 being in the final show on BBUSA - it was much better structured when it was just the final 2.

They have said there will be a three part final HoH comp so I expect that will happen - I guess they might do a Powershift style vote for a jury prize as the US do, although I wouldn't be completely again a Powershift vote for the final HoH, or perhaps just the first part of it.

Wow....Talla is Iranian ? I did not know that!!!
It kinda' makes her hotter knowing that she's a Persian Princess (even though she still annoys the hell out of me!!!!).

It was rather endearing about her saying that she'd give all the money to her Mother because of what she went through to get them out of Iran........but i'm not sure i believed that she would give her Mother all of the money.

The Iranian thing made her more interesting if nothing else!

Anyhow, pointless episode IMO. Would have made much more sense to include the Veto and live eviction and then kick off the final HoH comp - enabling them to leave the feeds on as I suspect they probably did the eviction yesterday anyway.

The eviction was taped last night I believe and will be shown Wednesday, hence the the feeds being taken off. I agree they should've just had an AJ style eviction last night though and got it over and done with.

Also...I might be reading into it a bit too much but the narrator's 'and will Gary be able to continue his comeback?' or something along those lines at the end of the episode, but with no reference to Talla, really threw me. Before the feeds went down it seemed as though Emmett would evict her but why say that unless something else happened? :(

Gary annoys me more, so I'd rather he had gone. Talla is ok in small doses maybe.

Very predictable for a number of weeks. Yet another memory task, like the American one last year there are too many.

The concept of surprise is obviously very different in the American style format. In Britain it could be a sudden eviction without warning in the DR, here you are told in advance there will be an eviction and the person doing the evicting tells you that you are gone well before as well. Despite all that no audience in the studio which was puzzling.

Also Big Brother to me is a live event, but this format tends to cut lots of stuff from the live stream, and they don't show much of the live competitions in the HLs show. So I think that messes things up.

They really screwed up with the episodes this week by not having the 4th place eviction live on Sunday. Just like Sundays episode last nights featured hardly anything and it was all so anti-climatic - plus rather insulting with the implication the "surprise" eviction was taking place the day before the final. I guess it would be a surprise to the HMs had they left it that late, but we all know it happened on Sunday anyway, so why the heck they didn't screen it live!
