LMFAO this show is so bad x_x they had hours to edit it and they give away the first two parts of the HoH Comp

Jack_
03-05-2013, 01:24 AM
I've heard it's actually live tonight, not taped. But you'd have thought they'd have told them not to mention the results before Arisa spoke to them

Macie Lightfoot
03-05-2013, 01:25 AM
Just as live as the "live eviction specials" have been all season.

LemonJam
03-05-2013, 01:35 AM
Alec proving how completely **** he is at the game once again.

Jack_
03-05-2013, 01:39 AM
Yeah I know none of them were live but I'm pretty sure tonight's is. People on Jokers reported a few weeks back that production had said to some audience members that the final will be actually live and that people going tonight have said it's actually live too.

And omg please, please, please Gary win part 3

Jack_

I'm so happy :D :D :D :D

The only bad thing here is a Jillian win, I'd have been fine with Emmett but not Jill. I think she'll win though but Gary definitely has more chance here than against Emmett.

Macie Lightfoot
03-05-2013, 01:56 AM
It's not actually live, which makes it even more hilarious that they still spoiled the first two parts of the final HoH with time to edit.

Also a Jillian win would be amazing <3 this is such a great final two.

Liberty4eva
03-05-2013, 02:02 AM
It sucks how we already know Gary has the Jury votes to win.

LemonJam

Macie Lightfoot
03-05-2013, 02:03 AM
In regards to post 518

I'm wouldn't be too sure about that. Apparently someone accidentally casts their vote for the wrong person alolololol

Jack_
03-05-2013, 02:04 AM
AJ and Talla are the swing votes I think.

Gary has Topaz and perhaps Peter and Alec by the looks of things, Jill has Andrew and Emmett.

I reckon 4-3 to Jill.

Liberty4eva
03-05-2013, 02:04 AM
Jillian definitely deserves to win the game. But this is a bitter jury. I see Gary winning 5-2.

JTM45
03-05-2013, 02:05 AM
I will be soooooo *****ing pissed off if the Jury hands the win to Gary!!!!!!
Jillian is still there because of how well she played the game and is still playing on her original life, unlike Gary!!!

Jillian clearly outplayed him in every way and it's out of pure spite if she doesn't win!

Jack_
03-05-2013, 02:05 AM
Tory is that a spoiler of the winner?

JTM45
03-05-2013, 02:14 AM
Jillian's answer to Peter's question was atrocious. She's done. :(

Her answer was nowhere near as bad as his bitter, spite-filled, hatefull exscuse for a question! He's a primo dick-face!!!:yuk:

Emmett's question to Gary was spot-on and the point he was making was irrefutable. One of the few classy questions asked by the Jury members!

Gary winning will be a terrible statement to end the first season of BB Canada and i so hope it doesn't happen!

LemonJam
03-05-2013, 02:21 AM

I can't work out who or what AJ meant but Christ I hope he went for Gary <333

JTM45
03-05-2013, 02:28 AM
I'm gutted to say that i'm pretty sure Gary has won, undeservedly and for all the wrong reasons.

Peter's very existence is a massive cosmic error! Every time he opens his stupid mouth my whole being cringes and shudders with embarrassment for him, the male species, geeks everywhere, the BB Canada casting team that chose him, his poor parents and Canada for spawning him.

Liberty4eva
03-05-2013, 02:39 AM
My prediction: Gary will win 6-1 (Emmett being the only dissent).

Wow!!!!!!!
I hope they make her stick to it. Like Arisa said, it was made very clear and it would be extremely unfair to go back on it now!

I love it, love it LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance::dance:

Topaz' continuing stupidity not only made her look like the biggest fool of the season during the show but it lost her beloved Gary $80,000!!!!

What a poke in the eye for the spiteful jury haters! I bet they're SEETHING!!!:joker:

03-05-2013, 03:04 AM

Liberty4eva
03-05-2013, 03:05 AM
Gary took it well. It took some wacky f'ed up twist to get him back in the game and it took some crazy f'ed up freak accident for him to lose it. It's perfect.

JTM45
03-05-2013, 03:05 AM
"150% secure" what a PERFECTLY ironic ending seriously.

I'd forgotten about that cherry! Classic stuff.

People can say "Gary won really though...." all they like but Jillian had the most votes and the $100,000 and the car and the other stuff so in my book that means Jillian is the WINNER!!! Gloat, gloat......GLOAT!!!!! :elephant:

Bluerang1

Only cause Topaz misunderstood and cast her vote wrong, it's not a case of 'they can say that all they like' we know how she meant to vote and that's a fact...Gary won. If AJ had voted Jill I'd say fair play and well done but he didn't, his vote meant Gary really won it, there's no getting around the reality of Topaz's intentions.

Liberty4eva
03-05-2013, 03:08 AM
THE MOST MEMERABLE MOMENT OF THE SEASON HAPPENED WITH JUST A FEW MINUTES LEFT. This is a monster blunder and Jillian only won because of a technicality.

Topaz didn't misunderstand this she's just an idiot

I bet the Facebook and Twitter Gary fans are in total meltdown!!!

That has to be hands-down the most bizzare ending to any BB finale, anywhere in the World ever!!!

I'm so pleased that Jillian was handed the win by one of her haters and that Gary (who didn't deserve to win anyway!) was denied it by his 'best friend'.

Retribution and Karma don't come with any better timing than tonight's events! :joker:

To Jillian's credit at least her reaction was tame and she looked a little embarrassed in the way that she'd won, she knows she didn't really. A nice girl even if she's not the most exciting.

Donovan.

To be fair to Topaz, those keys are a hideous neon green with white letters. Probably not the easiest thing to read... and I'm so glad for it.

jyunga
03-05-2013, 03:36 AM
Jillian is right. The rules are the rules. How else is she supposed to react? Gary didn't do much in the house, he would have won because the producers let Canada put their favourite juror back in. Meaning someone would have been robbed of the win cause of a twist. Instead Topaz stupidly voided the twist and we got a more deserving winner.

I liked Gary... but if I wanted him to win it's cause he was my favourite, not cause he played hard and deserved it from a gameplay perspective. The jury was pretty bitter imo.

It's just in this article

http://www.brandonsun.com/entertainment/breaking-news/controversy-swirls-over-jillians-win-on-the-first-ever-big-brother-canada-205905841.html?thx=y

"I know the production has been very strict on rules this season, I know that it's set myself and (fellow houseguest) Emmett (Blois) back in the game a fair bit, just by them being: 'Nope, rules are rules.' So rules are rules. Gary deserved this just as much as me, he played a great game but at the end of the day, the rules are rules and I ended up winning."

JTM45
03-05-2013, 04:38 AM
Thanks for the link man!
My favourite bit was;

pot-stirrer Peter Brown denounced the outcome with his trademark bluster.

Even the press have him figured out!

Tonight's cock-up was probably the best viewing of the whole Season for me!
I just watched it back especially to see Topaz being oh so smug when she was casting her vote with her "150% secure..." comment. If she'd concentrated more on the actual voting and less on trying to be a smug prick then maybe Gary would have won!

I couldn't have possibly imagined a scenario where things went as massively tits-up as they did yet still worked out so fantastically for Jillian!
It's instances like this that reaffirm the reasons i have such strong beliefs in the power of Karma.

I bet every single one of them would have been ecstatic if the same thing had happened in their favour. At least it happened to Jillian who was the real deserving winner anyway (imo).

Being bitter and spiteful can and often does backfire on you! Just ask Topaz!!! :joker:

Bluerang1
03-05-2013, 04:49 AM
Jillian deserved to win and all but they should have let Topaz change her vote. I don't see what difference locking in as opposed to saying out loud, or writing, a vote would make.

JTM45
03-05-2013, 05:16 AM
I think it's just a case of when there's 100 grand at stake and they've set the rules out so clearly they are legally bound to stick by it. Otherwise someone could have second thoughts after voting and then claim they meant to vote differently etc. which could land them in all sorts of legal trouble.

When they returned after the impromptu commercial break and announced that they had to hold Topaz to her original vote it was the only time in the whole season i 'wooted' out loud (several times!!!) with sheer joy and amusement.

I bet there was some major squirming going on at the BB Canada studios last night. I hope someone uploads the BB winner's interview thingy they have on the following morning's breakfast show or whatever.
Does anyone know which show that's on or if those kind of interviews get uploaded anywhere ?

Jillian deserved to win and all but they should have let Topaz change her vote. I don't see what difference locking in as opposed to saying out loud, or writing, a vote would make.

Because they cast vote when they have seen nothing other then what they have witnessed inthejury house. At that point she had already seen all the clips of the series which could have influenced her vote. You can't vote after the sequester of jury has ended. Thats the rules. If she had realised just after voting then I would agree with you but by the time she had realised it was way too late to change.

Well at least there were a couple of twists at the end.

First Gary winning the last competition. Really didn't want him to win, but at least somebody finally made a move against Emmitt. Unfortunately we later had to hear the Gary sob story. I really wish Talla had got to the end rather than him, she was much more naturally funny.

Then the whole controversy at the end was a nice surprise. Peter obviously bitter, how was it justice that Gary should win? Andrew though voted better, still think he was one of the better HGs.

The camerawork wasn't great. When the votes and comments were made, and during the whole controversy at the end we should have seen the reactions of the final two to everything. We didn't and that annoyed me. And of course the moment when the winner is announced the focus is meant to be on the final 2 in the house.

Also inevitably in this format so much of this is scripted. The jury house discussion sounded like they had planted questions, and then when they spoke to the camera and voted it looked all rehearsed. Big Brother is better when things are more off the cuff and that links to the live aspect which should be the cornerstone of it. That's what made the Topaz controversy refreshing, it looked like it wasn't scripted. The host handled it alright too.

It looked like Topaz just picked it up and put it straight it without really looking, maybe the excitement got to her.

Yeah, i got sick to the back teeth of Gary's "oh poor me, boo-hoo sniffle" hard luck story!!!
Telling people your story in the house is one thing but pulling it out like a party trick complete with fake crying to try and gain sympathy votes is really insulting and offensive to other people who've been through the same thing and often far worse!
One minute he's saying how proud he is to be gay and super-confident and who he is and the next he's acting like he's the only gay guy in Canada and the only person who's ever had a hard time in school. There's plenty of kids who aren't gay who get bullied just as bad for a multitude of reasons! Look at the sh*t that fat kids have had to put up with since forever!!!

I'd have liked to have seen more close-ups of the jury member's faces and reactions when the whole Toe-**** incident went down. Would have been priceless i bet!
The only people's reactions i could see from a distance were Emmett, Talla and Andrew's which were hysterical, especially when they returned after the emergency break and Arissa played the evidential Topaz voting footage and stated that her vote would stand as was! .
Emmett was punching the air with joy, Talla was bouncing up and down on her seat like an excited......uhhh..Talla and Andrew was unable to contain his laughter!!! Loved it to bits! :joker:

When i re-watched it it occurred to me that i 'think' Topaz and co (aka. the bitter spite loser crew) were thinking that they were holding her to her actual vote because it didn't effect the overall outcome because Gary still had the votes to win (i think they maybe thought that Andrew had also voted for Gary) because they looked shocked again when Andrew's deciding vote was announced.

I loved the whole episode even more the second time because i couldn't help chuckling to myself when the bitter spite loser crew were being so smug and hating on Jillian while i knew what was about to happen!
Probably the quickest and most satisfying example of Karmic Retribution i've ever witnessed!!! A true classic that you couldn't have written any better!

LOL C'mon guys it would have been a mockery of the show if Gary won, it would be a piss take
he was evicted, brought back at final 5 (what a joke) the limit should be being brought back at the beginning of Jury, this meant he got to have chats with the jury/become friends/see where their heads were at/release confidential things about the others etc
So glad Jillian won! and Emmett was evicted
for the first time, a woman has beat the guy in f2
and it was so justice to see bitter alec and peter, lose AGAIN, they are pathetic, and got played

I've enjoyed the series, and live feeds, now roll on big brother us

Tbh it's fair to not just assume but guarantee that Topaz was always going to vote Gary no matter what.. but rules are rules! Jillian did win but she didn't actually win the jury majority which does make Gary the unofficial winner

I loved that Gary won final HoH and got rid of Emmett.. I was so thrilled and then I thought okay he deserves this win now, even if it was unfair that he came back. But in the past people have been bought back and not won because it makes their chances of winning even smaller so he did do well, granted it was F5 and not like F10 like in BBUS6 (Kaysar) or F8 in BBUS3 (Amy).

I understand what your saying but Gary didnt really win though. What defines the winner is how many keys thay have in their box at the end not who the person 'intended' to vote for. Topaz voted for Jillian to win Big Brother Canada. Jillian had 4, Gary had 3 therefore Jillian is the real winner.

If the jury members had to go to a seperate soundproof room and say their votes out loud then Gary would've won, but no, the producers decide to put a light white font on a transparent green card and make the crowd be silent whilst the jury members choose their vote and try and hide it from the crowd. I'm not saying that it was unfair, because at the end of the day it was all Topaz's fault, but if the Jury members had to write down their winner or say it out loud, then Gary would've won. So really, Gary was the winner because he was more popular with the jury members, but Jillian ended up being the real winner.

The former is a bit uncalled for. And how did the video footage prove anything? We couldn't see anything, for all we know that card could've had anyones name on it and we would've never even known. But rules are rules, and I do solely blame it on Topaz for Gary's loss, but it will increase her and Gary's chances of coming back for an All Star season.

Also, I've yet to see one of your "positive posts" your promised me. It's just been negative or hateful posts for the last few weeks. :nono:

Yeah, i did feel for poor Gary. He didn't deserve to have such an idiotic friend who couldn't differentiate between 'GARY' and 'JILLIAN'.

None of last night's drama was down to him. It was all down to the bitter spite loser crew and their obsession with hating on Jillian for beating them. If Topaz hadn't been 150% wrapped up in being smug she probably would have been able to vote correctly! :nono:

I mean he's not wrong about Peter and Alec. For such "masterminds" who "respect the game so much" they're the most bitter and can't handle that they got beat by a girl. The double standards are always ridiculous when a girl tries to play as cutthroat as guys traditionally have in the past.

can you name a season in the modern era of BB that wasn't "rigged" though?

basically every game since BB3 has been called "rigged" because of the twists. And BB can get away with anything because of the whole "expect the unexpected" mantra.

I mean people even called BB1 "rigged" because eddie had a disability. People said the same thing about pete winning BBUK7. Or Nadia winning BBUK5. "BB played up their disability for the sympathy votes, it's rigged!"

There's a difference between playing cutthroat and leaving every single Juror livid at your existence. And just because one strategy works with one group of people doesn't mean it'll work with the other. Not that Kim pissed off the entire cast to the extent Dan did, but whatever.

AWESOMe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way it happened was a commupance for the haters too!!!
It was very satisfying wasn't it. Generally speaking the jurors in BBUSA have respected gameplay and left personal vengence aside, but this lot just couldn't see past it when it came to Jillian.

I object to any format that involves Peter opening his mouth.

Since BB2 BBUSA have always used selecting from two keys for the jury to decide the winner, and nearly 100 have managed to do it without a problem, and most of them live over recent years too. It's a simple process and six others managed it without issue this week, plus don't forget the HGs are familiar with the "keys" from the nomination process too.

Topaz aside though and I was surprised Alec and Peter didn't show more respect for Jillian's game play, even if she was instrumental in their downfall. Don't really understand why AJ voted for Gary too - wonder if their week in jury together was the deciding factor.

BB 5, BB6, BB7, BB10 and BB12.

you could argue that all of those season's were rigged too. BB5 it was rigged against the twins because they had to fool the other houseguests, BB6 was rigged because Kaysar got to come back. BB7 was rigged because Will and Boogie were best friends for years and the producers allotted so much diary room time to them.

BB10 was pretty fair though.

reece(:
03-05-2013, 11:15 PM
BB10 was pretty fair though.

Except Dan getting to take a jury member to an island and mist them... every season can be classed as "rigged" but I'd only count seasons as being rigged if they changed the outcome of the game through interference (not BB10), like BB13 by bringing back the Dynamic Duos. I wouldn't say public involvement (such as voting a Houseguest back in) is riggage either.

Donovan.

Plus none of those people, bar Janelle and Boogie, we're in the house. And none of them, bar Britney were on the jury, how do they know how they would've voted. Emmett's not a happy bunny on The Morning Show at all. Looks like Topaz' family must have filled her in on Alec's charming behaviour behind her back too. She couldn't have gotten much further away from him while still being in the same studio.

One thing that hasn't changed though.....Peter's still the biggest loser douchebag to come out of BB Canada thus far (just narrowly in front of Alec!). Good to see him being called out for being a massive contradicting fool too! :pat:

Glad to see Jillian living up to her winning self and being the class act she was all the way through!

Just watched the morning show reunion and Alec smiles at the camera and does the sheyld symbol as the two women are talking then Andrew's arm slowly goes toward Alec's head and does a shooting gesture

Here's a link to last night's reunion show. Sadly it's only 20 minutes long though;

Wow, i didn't know i could hate liza more. WTF is up with her not being able to choose between Tom and Peter? I don't like any of them, I think Tom and Peter are idiots, and i think Liza is annoying, but still... How can you not know which one you like?

Roz was more awkward than Arisa, that says a lot.

Yeah, that annoyed the **** out of me too, stupid cow! I think she's just so desperate for male attention that she can't shut down any possible source. Such a loser of a girl, and so damn ugly too!:yuk:

find that so stupid they bring in a new host for the reunion when Arisa was there from the start.

I don't think they were replacing her, i think it's more like how Dermot would do a reunion show with all the housemates for BBLB after the finale. remember after bb5/6/7 Dermot did his own reunion show where he interviewed everyone after the finale?

plus ET(Entertainment Tonight) is kind of a big deal, so it was just the normal ET Canada host. In the US ET is like the main celebrity news show, and they would never devote the entire show to a BBUSA cast, so for ET Canada to do that means BBCAN must have been very very popular. I think it's a good thing. It shows how massively popular the series was in Canada.
