Josy just because of all of the isolations that she's survived. Also she told me I did well in that last task, when I was really ****ing dreadful. She was probably just trying to make me feel better before she killed me. Sorry Josy if you're not the killer.

I believe Josy to be the killer. I'v suspected her for a while now but i think surviving 3 isolation's has been the final bit of confirmation i need. I really did think Jon was the killer. I thought he had been playing a great game by killing out players that nobody would suspect he would have gone for. The people who have been saved from isolation's so far from the exception of Josy tend to have been friends with her and i think that's something she may have done, i think she'd have preferred to keep people she gets on well with in the game. I cant think of any major moments during the game where shes given away any clues to her being the killer. The main parts for me are she has never been too desperate and she hasn't tried her hardest to gain any of the immunity's.. the task where we had to write out reasons why we thought our partners were the killer was an obvious point for me.. Josy is some crazy editing robot and it wouldn't have taken her long to edit up something big to wow us all, although she did edit up something small to make it look like she was still fully taking part. The reactions to everyone else when they've been put into isolation or when trying to gain immunity have seemed pretty genuine and they've seemed pretty upset to be facing isolation.. but still, i'm not 100% certain its her, it could be anyone.. Marc has gone under the radar and there are reasons i could give for it being him, but i'll stick to my instincts with Josy.

Over the past 22 days, 8 tasks have unfolded, 2 have failed and 6 have passed, 8 players have died, 2 have been locked up and permanently isolated from the game, and even a fictional version of Livia has met a grisly end. 2 players have been wrongly accused of being behind it all, and - more amazingly - nobody's been banned, or left the forum, or been removed from the game from me in a tantrum :amazed: So well dones all around.

But now, we've reached the end of the game and 5 players - including that all elusive killer - have a shot at winning. But before we can open the voting, I'll now reveal the identity of the killer.

So... all that remains to be said is... the real killer of ICB5 was...

Crime: Cat burglary (and since I don't think you'd be imprisoned for that, let's say you dismembered them and sent body parts to the owners to taunt them)

Mariya moved to the UK and lived in Glasgow since 1989 with her mother, father and 2 sisters. Her father decided that the girls should be homeschooled and that, once 16, they should move out and find husbands. Her sisters only had to wait weeks to find boyfriends but Mariya was neither very pretty nor very confident; in fact, she much preferred to stay in her room and read books on zoology and biology. She went to college to study the latter subject and then took a course at university, where she kept to herself and didn't believe in partying or drinking. She graduated with a 2:1 and felt ashamed - by now she'd cut off all ties with her parents and rented a small flat with funds she saved from working in a library. One Sunday afternoon, a cat wandered into her window and something in her thought she'd like to do a couple of experiments. She trapped it in a box and quickly broke its neck before doing a little bout of surgery on the poor moggy. A week later she chanced upon a "missing" sign and saw that it belonged to a woman who lived up the road who was always rude to her on the bus. She took one of the cat's paws and sent it to her in the post. She did this with a couple of other local pets before a man living in the flat above her complained to the landlord about the smell coming from below. The landlord, a rather cocksure fellow, stormed in without any warning and interrupted her using a scalpel on a rabbit from 2 blocks over. She was arrested and tried for harrassment of 3 local pet owners, greivous animal harm and being a general dick, pleading guilty and being sentenced to 2 years in prison.

The Killer's Motive, & Where She Could've Been Caught
Here, I'll explain why Niamh. made the decision to kill you all off, by the process of a bit of a history lesson. I'll also reveal which clues I dropped into the bits of writing, into my own avatar and personal status, and anywhere else. All decisions made by Niamh. were done over Facebook chat, since I didn't want to risk her being caught PMing me all the time like poor MTVN did in ICB3 :nono: So, without further ado...

Task One - *Kate* vs. Braden
It was the very start of the game, and Ammi'd stumbled into becoming team leader. This task was where I became a Clefairy for 2 days, and gave you all strict posting instructions to post in either left, right or center. But whilst I changed my avatar to this little fella:

You might have missed the fact that I also changed my custom member title. To "you've gotta see her". Now, none of you will have known character names at this point, but any old music fan can tell you that's the line that follow's Blondie's Maria...

Ammi, in the end, chose the two players she felt had contributed the least to the task: Braden and *Kate*, and so Niamh's first decision came up. Here's what she said.

Task Two - The Double
Before this task started - the one where DrunkerThanMoses was chosen to be leader by you lot, and you had the joy of working out 75 song clips - I gave Niamh another decision that had nothing to do with killing. You may remember that 5 of you were approached to kill off somebody in a twist called "Pack Mentality", and I told you that you were chosen at random. In fact, Niamh chose you all - but she didn't give a reason :suspect:

In the Pack Mentality twist, 4 of the 5 approached decided to vote. The one who didn't was Josy - she didn't reply in time, but she did say that she wouldn't have voted to kill someone anyway. Jake, Jon, Marc and Annie all voted:

In retrospect, I'm curious to know whether any of you decided to plot this together. I did ask that you vote separately and individually - but I received Annie and Jon's votes within 1 minute of each other. I remember thinking at the time that it was a bit of a coincidence - and I don't mind now if you did indeed plot it together, but because none of you gave reasons other than Marc, I'm not sure why Cuda died :laugh:

Task Three and SITD #1 - Forced Hands
I've already revealed what happened in the stabs in the dark and why Braden was chosen, and indeed why the other players picked up any votes, so I won't explain any more of that - but with Braden now out of the way, attentions had to shift as you knew that he was now innocent. At this point, I should note, *Kate* did PM me her suspicions again but at this point she was now narrowing it down to TWO possible killers: Niamh and Drew.

For this task, Lucas was chosen to be the team leader. Can't quite remember how but oh well :pipe: I think the only two I forced to be leader by luck (posting at an unfortunate time) were Ammi and Annie? I digress. The task was probably the easiest by far, where you simply had to identify who was in my avatar before ten minutes passed, although Drew's determination to win immunity for the second consecutive time seemed to piss a few people off. The task was passed easily, and Lucas' decision was this.

Sam and Niamh (Niamh is going to eat me alive isn't she oops)

This is the only instance in ICB5 where I haven't needed to ask who dies: in the event of the killer being sent to Isolation, the other player automatically dies :( So of course, whilst you later all went on to accuse Jake and Josy of managing to survive multiple times and that all being a bit convenient, that was Niamh's main game plan ;)

Task Four and SITD #2 - Difficult Decisions, and a Helping Hand
As already mentioned, Annie became team leader through an unhappy coincidence, having posted at an unlucky time. She had another fairly easy ride though, and many others did, as the CSI task saw you all trying to find clues in a big map. 3 of you managed to acquire immunity by happening to find 2 clues each (out of a total of 12) - Donovan, Marc and Annie herself :laugh: - and since you managed to find a total of 11 of 12 clues (needing 10 to pass), you all passed another task.

In addition to this, I promised that I would reveal 1 actual clue about the Killer for each clue found after passing the requirement for the task; since you found 11, this meant I could give you two real clues (unfortunately you missed out on a full house, where I'd have revealed the gender of the killer).

Now, since you found 11, I can reveal TWO clues.

- At one point in the past, my custom status on TiBB has directly referenced the name of the Killer.
- In their reason for killing Kate over Braden (I can reveal this because both are now dead :p), the Killer said: "I need to get rid of her because I think she knows I'm the killer".

You didn't seem to find either of these particularly helpful though, and the reaction to this can be found on pages 118 and 119. Annie, in the meantime, had a decision to make:

Shortly after this decision, you all had to make your second attempt at finding the killer, and for the second time in a row, Niamh went without even a trace of suspicion. Ammi, however, seemed just too nice and close to me to escape the pointing fingers, and with the help of her own refusal to vote, was killed off as the game's second wrongly-accused killer.

Task 5 - TacTics, Tot.
For the fifth task, you had to play a game of tic tac toe that would give the first 3 players immunity. Things became a bit of a mess as Lucas, Drew and Jake all tried to grab them early on - but little old innocent Niamh sauntered in and let Marc's team leadership guide her to another immunity. Josy and Drew were the other two to then secure immunity, and Lucas and Jake were sent to their deaths on account of them being silly little bitches or something. Here's what Marc said, anyway:

Task Six - Gotcha
For the sixth task, I split the 8 remaining players into four pairs, and asked you all to make a case against your partner for being the killer. I got some pretty great entries, but the judges and I decided that Jake's was the best.

Now, again, it may have taken eagle eyes to see, but immediately after announcing that he had won the task, I changed my custom title to "gotcha". Who was Jake's partner in the task again? Oh, just Niamh :whistle:

Task Seven - Opportunity Knocked
With only seven players left, there were still, surprisingly, no real stand-out contenders for the most suspicious player. In a task called Lockdown, I gave the first 3 players another opportunity to get their hands on profile information on anyone they liked, and Jon managed to secure his final immunity of the game in a maths puzzle just before it started, as his second stint as team leader (having failed the first time around).

Now, trust Jon to open a can of worms :pipe:

Basing this on who I think the killer is and trying to hopefully keep in bigger threats.

I think the killer is either Marc or Annie due to when Braden was stabbed in the dark you said that four people did not notice that he could not be the killer as he was hanging when Kate was being killed off. But five people voted for him and only Marc and Annie are left in the game out of the 5 so I think its one of them unless you made a typo and I am way off.

I dont want to think Marc is the killer so my first pick to send to isolation is Annie . I think Marc is also stronger then Annie so him sticking around might help him being eliminated next round.

My second pick is more strategic and I will pick Josy unfortunately. I am hoping keeping people like Marc and Drew might get them eliminated in the next round instead of me.

So sorry to ramble a bit but my final picks are Annie and Josy to face isolation.

So, whilst he may have intended to have catch Annie out by Josy automatically dying - he in fact played into Niamh's hands and gave her the chance to make Josy survive for a third time.

This put Jake and Jon up for the chop one last time, and - sorry Jake - but I did actually try to persuade her to kill you :blush2:

The In Cold Blood history has been largely against killers; only Braden and PJ have made the finals of their series since being selected for murder-duty at the beginning of the game. In ICB3, MTVN was caught, and ICB4 saw Niall slip up somehow. Niamh, however, has been meticulous in flying under the radar, and didn't receive a single vote in either of the game's official Stabs in the Dark. Her only real moment of panic as the killer came at the very start of the game, when *Kate* made an innocent comment about the cat in her signature being at risk. As revealed above, her reasons for killing have been mostly fair in an attempt to make it look like anyone could've been the killer, but she's also steered the forum towards suspecting Josy (who had 0 stabs in SITD1, and just the 1 in SITD2... now she has 9 :o ).
Drew.
As the game's most prolific visitor to the immunity clinic, Drew picked up a rather useful 4 immunities through his cunning task activity and right timing. He was therefore never sent to Isolation, and has never had his time in the game under jeopardy. He, along with Niamh, is the only other player to escape both Stabs in the Dark completely unsuspected, so if he were the Killer I imagine he'd have been pretty successful. What better reason is there for a gamewinner than that? :pipe:

A fact that probably won't surprise anyone: Marc's been the most active poster of all of this series' players. He's also the only finalist that has actually been team leader - and his management made sure that the Tic Tac Tot task, notoriously the most difficult to pass on account of needing everyone online at the right time, and some players' dastardly attempts to sabotage the game and grab immunity for themselves :p He's also picked up two immunities - although it's probably worth pointing out that one was through luck (the map task) and the other was a formality (the pairs task). He's only picked up one stab at a time, too.
Josy
The case might be stacked up quite against Josy on account of her accumulating all of those last-minute votes, and surviving so many isolations... but in a way, isn't that really her charm? The final's most resilient player, she's been sent to her death more times than I can count and mostly because of other players' failings (such as Donovan's last-placing in the pairs task; she actually beat both Annie and Drew - and Marc but no1curr - but they managed to average her out). No other player has had to fight so hard for this place.

Jake might contest Josy's tenacity, though - he's survived 2 isolations too, and even my own attempts to get Niamh to kill him :blush2: He won the prosecution task, with his hilarious case against Niamh being the killer, and has therefore been immune from the killings twice, too. He's also in a Jessie J tribute band with me so please go gentle on him x

I've had such a different experience this time around; I haven't actually worried much throughout the game since I suspected it was either Josy or Niamh :laugh: and I thought (hoped) they'd never kill me off.

Task Two - The Double
Before this task started - the one where DrunkerThanMoses was chosen to be leader by you lot, and you had the joy of working out 75 song clips - I gave Niamh another decision that had nothing to do with killing. You may remember that 5 of you were approached to kill off somebody in a twist called "Pack Mentality", and I told you that you were chosen at random. In fact, Niamh chose you all - but she didn't give a reason :suspect:



So, as the task got underway you managed to fail it by just 1 point :( and Jon automatically faced the first killing, deciding to take Glenn with him:



Niamh's decision when faced with Jon or Glenn was apparently difficult, as she was tempted to kill Jon and knew he'd go on to be a good gameplayer. Instead, this is what she said.



In the Pack Mentality twist, 4 of the 5 approached decided to vote. The one who didn't was Josy - she didn't reply in time, but she did say that she wouldn't have voted to kill someone anyway. Jake, Jon, Marc and Annie all voted:






In retrospect, I'm curious to know whether any of you decided to plot this together. I did ask that you vote separately and individually - but I received Annie and Jon's votes within 1 minute of each other. I remember thinking at the time that it was a bit of a coincidence - and I don't mind now if you did indeed plot it together, but because none of you gave reasons other than Marc, I'm not sure why Cuda died :laugh:

So, in the story both Glenn and Cuda met their maker.

So, you're probably wondering why I believe Niamh to be the killer? But, why listen to my opinion, when I could showcase to you the cold, heavy evidence?

Snooping through Niamh's personal drawer, I overcame something of interest. A diary, if you will, showcasing some disturbing images drawn by the killer herself; Niamh. I do not understand why the pictures exist, or why they weren't hidden in a better place. All I can present to you is what I have discovered.

This first picture seems to depict Niamh along with a number of objects, some covered in blood... A knife, a rag, a potato... surely the latter must give it away? Perhaps it shows what she brought with her in her suitcase? The 'hip pills' prove that this picture was only drawn by one person...

This image shows what seems to be a now dead Michaela with multiple stab wounds in the chest, with Niamh holding a knife. It is written how she has been stabbed for stealing Niamh's potato... the potato in question was last seen 43 minutes before Michaela's death. Did Michaela feel peckish and paid the ultimate price?

This grisly picture shows what seems to be Sofia drinking an alcoholic subtance, which Niamh believes belongs to her. Being the Irish lady that she is, it is very believable that seeing Sofia with her drink was enough to make her snap. As for the noose? It was found around Sofia's neck.

Jonas was found drowned in a toilet, marking the next death. Before this, niamh had been moaning that her '65+' pills had gone missing, which she takes daily to help constipation. Was it possible that she found Jonas with her pills, quickly took the pills to poo in the toilet and drowned Jonas afterwards? Is the Catholic Church a bit dodgy?

After Netta was discovered with 3rd-degree burns, Niamh was nowhere to be seen, with her cover story being that she was playing Scrabble (on your own? no dear), but this picture drawn by Niamh shows otherwise, with Netta being burnt to a crisp with a blow-torch.

It was assumed that Niamh and Haley were pretty close friends in this cell, but this lovely drawn picture shows us otherwise. What with Haley being killed with a blunt object, Niamh's reasoning for doing so seems to have been her new pink hair colour, which Haley had asked Livia to do for her instead of Niamh. Clearly, Niamh didn't take to this news kindly.

The last image found in Niamh's 'diary' depicts Niamh killing her latest victim by stabbing him in the chest multiple times after using chloroform to knock him straight out. Perhaps he insulted her dress sense, perhaps he didn't share his wine with her over dinner, or perhaps he knew too much?

The evidence above is overwhelming, understandably. Could Niamh have drawn these is moments of sadness, knowing that she couldn't tell anybody else apart from life-less paper? Perhaps. What is clear, however, is that Niamh is the killer
