..oh, that's not too bad then...I guess it depends if you want sunshine..you could go to the Canary Islands..Tenerife/Gran Canaria etc..that's consistent temperatures and around 25/27-ish all year round...it'll be a bit too early for skiing but you could go somewhere nearer if you didn't want the sun..

...aww, yeah..I do love wrapping gifts in a way but it takes me so long to do them though because I'm a bit of a fussy wrapper..I never get them exactly the way I want them though...isn't it gorgeous when all the gifts are under the tree..(which is usually Christmas Eve for me..and often that's when my tree goes up..)...

..no, we did get invited to a party but I'm not great at socialising and my OH didn't really want to dress up, so it's worked out ok...I have a pumpkin to put out for the trick or treaters, but Halloween is something I haven't really done much since the boys were younger...well the good thing about Twix is that you could give them one half and keep the other for yourself...win/win....

Because Sheffield is a Russel Group top 20 university, Reading is more like a top 25 uni. Sheffield is world renowned for Biological sciences & is a slightly better Uni than Reading. Also Sheffield is cheaper than reading, and I preferred the actual Zoology course at Sheffield than to Reading. However the Reading campus was just perfect, the accomodation was perfect & the feel was great. I love how the accomodation is on the campus, so everyone is at at Uni & there would be a lot going on at once, whereas Sheffield the Accomodation is 20m from the Uni, so the student Union & student Bar are not that accessible.

So I really don't know what to do? Should I go for the course, what I'm paying for. Or for my happiness even though the course does not look as interesting and I'll have less chocies + the uni is a little less renowned.

...hmmm, ok I think you probably should talk to your parents about it all but the decision has to be yours, Jack...if you went to Sheffield and the course is perfect but you were generally unhappy in other ways...would that course make you happier..?..you're at uni for quite a long time, Jack..happiness/social life is very important..an extremely high priority...maybe some time in the future, in retrospect..you'll think that 3/4 years was just a moment but you won't be looking back, Jack..you'll be in the present and living it and especially if you're not happy...it will seem endless...and not a good endless at all...will you really do well on your course if that was to happen..?...will that better uni then have been the right choice..?...

...and will a future employer think too much about the fact that you went to Reading and not Sheffield unless they had someone else who did go to Sheffield, maybe..and they had to decide between the two...but that's just a hypothetical, Jack and you can't live your life/make important decisions about your present and your happiness based on hypotheticals.....

Every single teacher throughout high school and just then at college has always made a big point of me being quiet, as if it's something that I didn't know or something that needs to be improved. My psychology teacher even asked me half way through her meeting, "are you ok?? you can smile you know!!" :bored:

..yeah, that must be frustrating, Richard..and that you're psychology teacher comments as well, which is ironic..as if that would make you less self conscious about it, when they're commenting...I know it's not much consolation but they're obviously happy with the coursework you're doing if those are the comments and sometimes teachers like to see people branch out of their friendship circles to prepare them for uni etc...but yeah, irritating...
