OMG
please, please, please be Beth
Yeah it will be won't it. Otherwise what's the point in it just being Carole  would be a bit of an anticlimax
It could also be
Morgan and Carol, Morgan on his own, or the group who went on the bus, maybe it broke down or something idk.
TRIVIA-
Ever since season 3, Carol's status has been changed from alive to unknown in an early episode of the season. In season 3, 'Killer Within' (the 4th episode) Carol's status was unknown after she went missing following the assault on the prison. In season 4, in 'Indifference' (the 4th episode), Carol's status was unknown after Rick banished her from the group after she was revealed to have murdered Karen and David. In season 5, in 'Four Walls and A Roof' (the 3rd episode), Carol's status was unknown after Daryl returned to Michonne without Carol - but called out for someone in the bushes.

Shame we had to lose Gareth so quickly in order for bloody Beth to take center stage. Season is moving incredibly quick. I like it though.
I don't see it being Morgan. I'd imagine they'll do an episode showing what happened. Maybe there's another person who Daryl and Carole saved alongside Beth?
I don't see it being Morgan. I'd imagine they'll do an episode showing what happened. Maybe there's another person who Daryl and Carole saved alongside Beth?
I don't know, only thing is-
Beth is in a facility in the season trailer, and the previews for next episode show she's still there, so she won't be with Daryl. Carol coming out of the bushes would just be a lame attempt to generate hype which is unneeded after such a great episode, a new character wouldn't mean anything to us...so I see Morgan being like the only option unless it's the whole group who went off in the bus too.
This is what I think and hope
I don't think that was Beth with Daryl tbh, someone has been watching them/the church and I hope/think that it was Morgan.
But then I don't know why he would be hiding hmmm
Also think Carol has went off on her own again.
Actually
it can't be Morgan, Daryl and Him don't know each other do they icr?

Another solid dark episode.
Bob at the beginning of the ep >>> the moment when he revealed he had been bit was epic. Rick taking no risks and seeing the darker side to him to protect himself and the group is great, its just a shame it had to come this early, i was enjoying the hunting group and Gareth was a decent character. Hopefully we get to see both groups now Abraham the bastard who has taken my Rosita away and the others have left, otherwise we won't see them for ages i suspect? The endings to the first 3 episodes have been good, some decent cliffhangers. Was expecting a group of people to step out behind Daryl having him at gun point.. can't see it being Carol and Beth with him though (although i really hope its Beth), he looked too shaken up & shocked.

Another great episode. Really impressed with this season so far, definitely shaping up to be the best yet if it can keep this momentum going.
Good old Tara heading to DC with the best group, hopefully they get an even amount of screentime as Rick and the gang from this point onwards.

I think they're trying to make the walkers' decomposition a lot more realistic. Notice how in the first two seasons, besides the city walkers and up until the hoard stormed the farm, the walkers never traveled in groups either. I think they're just showing how walkers are adapting to everything.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that they would get weak as time goes on, because at first they would be eating all the time, and now that there are more walkers than humans they won't get to eat as often..

Yeah, i guess there are a lot of reasons why they could be less aggressive and slower now.. this is probably the most obvious. That walker earlier on in the series which smashed down the bathroom door in that caravan they had >>>

The start of season one was set only 60 days after the outbreak, so the dead would be a lot stronger and more aggressive.
As the seasons have gone by.. the dead have become milder and the people have become more psychotic lol

I'm thinking....
Carol isn't there by coincidence, it's a setup to get Beth out and I still think Noah was the person with Daryl and they just done the episodes in a different timeline? Anyway I think Carol and Daryl came across Noah escaping, found out Beth was in there and Carol allowed herself to be 'saved' by them to get in there, I also don't believe for one minute the hospital bunch 'save' anyone, more like snatch them, give them some injuries then when they wake tell them they helped them and so they now owe them.

Not the best of episodes really, I don't think Beth is an important enough character to warrant an episode all to herself (only Rick and Daryl are imo), and this new group don't seem all that interesting to me. This week's epi..
Well, I did not see that coming. I don't know if there were any spoilers floating around about Eugene, but if there were then I missed them. I feel bad for Abraham, although I probably shouldn't because it looks like he went a bit bat**** killing humans etc. before his wife and kids took off. I'm a bit pissed off that we haven't seen anything of the church group for 2 whole episodes now but hopefully they'll be back next week. I feel like there are too many balls in the air now.. with Abraham's group up there, the church group back there and Beth and Carol somewhere else..
Locke.
10-11-2014, 09:46 PM
I already knew about Eugene but still thought those final 10 minutes were great. I like Abraham's group a lot more than Rick's (although Maggie is really annoying and needs to be killed off). I agree though that the three separate groups is going to get a bit annoying eventually, they are going to have to merge two of them together asap.

Abraham confirming himself as Top 2 character in the show.

10-11-2014, 10:41 PM
Great ending to the episode, had avoided all spoilers but i had a feeling that would be the outcome with Eugene. Rosita getting some screen time was good, even if it was Abraham giving her a seeing too.
This season is moving so much quicker than the previous ones.. I kind of miss them finding different areas and setting up camp, going out searching for supplies and getting to know the areas they were staying at. It all seems a bit static with the walkers at the moment.. Eugene hosing them down was pretty cool but apart from that the walkers haven't really played a part in this season so far.
JerseyWins
10-11-2014, 10:53 PM
^ I think the walkers are playing a part, it's just that with how accustomed the group has gotten with seeing/killing them in groups none of it really seems major like it used to be. They're still doing a good enough job with keeping them involved in the storyline IMO.
Yesterday's episode was another pretty good one but not as good as the previous few.

The humans he killed were people from his group that he trusted who raped his wife. He was fair in his actions I would say. I'm glad they didn't play on the rape bit too much though, because we have already had a lot of that this season.

Wait, how did I miss that they raped his wife? That wasn't clear to me at all..
I also already knew about
Eugene
Just my opinion...in spoiler tags in case some haven't watched yet..
I must admit for the first time this season I found that episode to drag a bit with some pretty pointless time filler scenes, I mean the scene with Glenn & Maggie where she just looked at him for about a minute afterwards :bored: I agree with Locke btw, Maggie bores me now and I wouldn't miss her if she was gone.
I felt quite bad for Abraham, you can tell with the flash backs that meeting Eugene and finding out about the 'mission' is what kept him going after his family were gone so who knows what way the show will take him now, could be interesting..
And WTF at that MASSIVE group of walkers
The last 10 mins were good and pretty much saved the entire episode IMO.

I hadn't heard any spoilers about Eugene but my husband called it ages ago, soon after they came into the show so I always had it in that back of my mind that he might be lying to keep himself protected.
I really enjoyed this episode, it wasn't as good as the others this season but I liked the bit of back story for Abraham and getting to know those lesser known characters a bit better.
I also like that there's a few different groups in different places like last season, it stops things going stale imo which was Season 3s downfall for me

I also like that there's a few different groups in different places like last season, it stops things going stale imo which was Season 3s downfall for me
I'm glad my husband doesn't watch this, cos he always calls it on things like this as well... and I never see it coming lol

Well yeah, i guess they have played a part, but it just seems theres less unpredictability about them and less focus on them now. But i guess thats bound to happen seeing as theres more focus on the two groups and the storylines going on. Although saying that the huge group of zombies we saw at the end of the last episode looked good.

Another solid episode. It has been built up great for the next episode so i'm expecting plenty more action than the previous couple of eps. Daryl & Carol are always great together. I was expecting Carol to fake being ill or fake an injury to get into this hospital, turns out she does get pretty badly ****ed up by that car. Were they in the same city as Rick was during season one? The highway/city scene looked very similar but it was kinda too dark to tell. Saw a glimpse of a tank too which was probably the one Rick hid in? If it is it's crazy how they've ended up back there.

It's all Atlanta but Beth is being held in Grady Memorial Hospital which is a real hospital located in the heart of Atlanta.
In season 1 Rick is in northern Atlanta. The CDC was northern Atlanta too so I doubt Carol and Daryl are in the same place Rick was.

Devestated by Coda tbh, the Beth storyline has been the highlight of the series so far for me and Beth was by far my favourite character and I felt she had so much more to give.
Kinney and Reedus were amazing though it's a shame they decided to kill off a character that had so much potential when there are at least 6 characters who are dead wood by now (Eugene, Carl, Glenn, Sasha, Tyreese and especially Maggie)
Emily Kinney doesn't seem too happy with being killed off.

I am glad the fans are unhappy with Beth dying, I really do think her character came into her own late last season and this season, building her up and then killing the character mid season is a disappointment and I don't blame Emily for being unhappy.
I read on twitter Melissa McBride, Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohen were unhappy with the decision too.

It's similar to Andrea's death in the sense that she was separated, almost re-united and then killed. It makes sense in the sense that no one is safe no matter how far they've come. It was really predictable and I saw it coming. I have a feeling it's probably because of Emily's music career they felt they could let Beth go without to much of a problem as she has something else to focus on

I think the predictability of it makes it even worse imo, I liked Andrea but I think the character had run it's course. They could have done so much with a teenage girl trying to grow up in the situation and I think a younger audience identified with her, I know I did.
I will miss Beth more than I would have pretty much anyone else.
Kinda off topic but I read somewhere that Carol escaped death twice in season 3, both times the character was then saved by the writer's in the place of somebody else (T-Dog and Andrea). Must have something big coming up for Carol sometime tbh. It sounds like the intention was to kill Beth off in the mid-season finale of this season, but peculiar that again Carol escaped whilst Beth died.

Gutted about Beths death, she was quite quiet compared to a lot of the group but there was a connection there between her and a lot of viewers. Her bonds with Daryl and Carol have made for emotional storylines along the way and it made it even more horrible to see them both in the same camera shot reacting to her death. It made the whole ending even more shocking. The group feels tighter than it ever has now.

Well the last few episodes were all pretty much made pointless by the mid-season finale, weren't they? Abraham and his group leave for Washington - Great, finally someone might get somewhere and accomplish something, but nope, they turn back around after spending a full episode on them. Loads of time spent on Beth only to kill her before accomplishing something with that part of the story. Maybe if some of the police group would have joined Rick & co, but it doesn't look like they did.
I hope Morgan catches up with them soon, his part after the credits this time was even better than in the premiere. But I can't really predict where the group will head now, the church is in ruins and they probably won't be interested in heading to Washington now that they'll all know Eugene was lying.
Oh, and lol at Maggie suddenly caring about Beth after not mentioning her for about 10 years.

I kind of agree. I liked Beth, I just didn't like the hospital story. The first three episodes with the Terminus / Hunters arc were brilliant.
I did like Dawn though, and was intrigued by her development and how she was made into more than just a bad guy. I just read something really interesting about the mid-season premiere. Someone on another forum posted a review that suggests that the funeral at the start that we see Father Gabriel performing, which we obviously assume is for Beth, might actually be for another character who, as of now, is still alive. So, that's probably a flash-forward, and then another member of the group will die in the episode and we'll get the funeral again at the end probably. (Speculation of course, the review would have been taken the wrong way).
I have to say, I like it when they kill members of the group in quick succession (Dale and Shane one episode apart, Lori and T-Dog in the same episode, Merle and Andrea one episode apart) because it really enforces the "nobody is safe" idea, so this should be interesting if true.
Also, the general consensus seems to be that Tyreese will likely be the one to die. That's speculation at this point obviously, but based on filming reports and Chad L. Coleman starting on a new show, etc. I remember reading rumours of Tyreese dying in the first episode back even before this review came out, so I really think it's gonna happen.
They did say that they'd be dropping fast in Season 5, and if another dies in this episode, that's three members of Rick's group dead in Season 5 already.
Can not wait! I love this show, easily my favourite show on at the moment. :worship:

To sum up it's return.
It's a great episode overall. Director deserves an emmy
Rick's group makes it to Noah's home. His neighborhood is ransacked and filled with Zombies.
They split up to look for supplies and Tyreese and Noah go to Noah's house.
While there, Tyreese is bit. Noah goes off to find the others.
Tyreese struggles to live and hallucinates seeing The guy in the shack he had a conversation with from Terminus, Beth, Bob, Lizzie and her sister, and The Governor.
The group finds him and cuts his arm off to attempt to stop him from dying but it's too late. He fails to make it by the end.

Well if your favourite character is going to be killed off I suppose an episode like that is the best way for them to go, it was a very nice and fitting end to Tyreese's character. I felt like there was still more for him to give but I'm fine with them keeping the stakes high and killing off characters regularly because it's realistic of what would happen in a world like that.

I was unsure at the start, just a bunch of random images and stuff. But as the ep went on and the story incorporated everything that was shown. And it was really well done.
I was sure Tyreese wasn't gonna die. His fight we the second zombie after he was bitten was terrifying, the snapping and his struggle to fend him off. Also his hallucinations as a way of coming to terms with his oncoming death were brilliant. It's great having the show back.

Telling the governor about the prison, not killing the terminus guy, the plan the save Beth that backfired. We already has the Governor mocking him for Forgiving Carol too. Anyway, it was a decent return. Next week looks like filler until they get to Alexandria AT LAST! :)
Yeah I guess so when you put it like that

She probably was too busy with Chicago Fire at the time of filming
I had no idea she was in that show. I know she's in Teen Wolf, so it makes sense if she couldn't return considering she already has two shows to concentrate on.

The ep was directed by Greg Nicotero, who directed Lizzie and Mika's death ep.
He was on Talking Dead (They still had it, just aired it after the Better Call Saul Premiere)
Regarding the hallucinations, he said that they were a representation of what he has done or seen. Can't remember the rest of the conversation

Oh really? That was probably the best episode of the whole series for me (the Mika/Lizzie one) I liked the feel of this episode too

When I heard before the episode that we'd see some "familiar faces", I did initially think "Morales?!".

The Cinematography in this episode was amazing but everything else about it was piss poor. The story is still a non-event and the writers are too dependent on killing off characters to create a sense of drama instead of actually writing a coherent plot.
It's boring, I'll try to watch the next few episodes but I can see myself finally giving up on this show before the end of this season. It's directionless, repetitive and ultimately dull.

Another good episode, anybody else though that when they where holding the zombies away from the barn was real :laugh1:, who is that man at the end tho :suspect:

The guy is... -Minor Spoiler on who and what he is-
Aaron. He's part of a Place Called Alexandria Safe Zone, which is a walled community that is still largely living well in the ZA. His role in the community is as a Scouter. He's goes out looking for groups and stalks them to ensure they are good people Before he invites them to join. It's arguably one of the most important locations in the comic. Oh...and he's gay too for those who wanted gay chaacters

If this is the Aaron from the comics (I believe it is) and they don't derive from the comics he is a recruiter for Alexandria. A new safe haven...The bottled water was a test to see if the group would steal.
If you haven't read the comics Alexandria could mean Negun and the Saviors are on their way...Negun makes The Guvenor look like a puppy.

After all the action & drama from the two deaths in the two previous episodes a nice slower paced episode focusing on how the characters are coping and feeling was good. They all look depressed and look like wanting to give up now so its pretty unpredictable what they're going to do next. The bloke at the end screams bad news. Considering they're in the middle of nowhere looking like tramps and he looks fresh out of the shower with some new clothes on is odd. The next episode should be interesting.

Some people are saying it's real but it looked like a dream sequence because of how quick they transitioned to morning.
The whole idea of Maggie finding purpose again and the fact that the barn was untouched in the storm restored her belief in God and that she is alive for a reason.

I was thinking it was a dream at first because it went straight from them blocking the door to maggie waking up so I thought it must have been her dream but then when they went outside and all the walkers were out there I thought maybe it did happen and they were ok because the storm saved them by mashing up all the walkers

Bit of a boring episode, hopefully Aaron massacres the group and leaves only Rick, Abraham, Gabriel, Tara, Rosita, and Eugene alive

I thought it was a tornado, because of the path carved in the trees, her faith was restored because they were spared, that's why the zombies were all mangled in the trees:smug:
