Good episode. Didn't see Gabriel once when the group were travelling, thought it was a bit odd how he was missing when the camera angles were covering the whole group. Kept expecting Dale to come walking out of the caravan, for some reason i was expecting there to be a twist where that was the old one they used to use.

Great episode last night

They made it to Alexandria

Carl finally has kids his age to hang around with. He's going to have a relationship with the girl probably

Carol is acting weird. Like she's clumsy, didn't admit that her husband was abusive.

At the end of the episode, Rick and Michonne become Constanobles (Police) of the safe zone

Poor episode really, it started out ok but was pretty dull throughout. Bit bored of being introduced to heaps of new characters only for them to be written out a few weeks later, which judging from the conversation at the end is the angle that is going to be taken here again.

Rick looks about 20 years younger now that he has had a shave.

I kinda like the whole finding a plot to live in and watching them building it up to become a safe place to live in and being able to watch them develop and finding roles for them each to ensure their survival. I think thats why i liked S2 with the farm house and then also the prison. This place is a bit different as its already been built into a kind of fortress but its interesting to see how they settle into a new environment and its a nice change seeing them in a community with nice houses as they've been stuck living rough on the road for so long. Building a secure place to live in and surviving in that area would probably be what i'd do to survive so i guess thats why i enjoy watching it more than when they travel.

I can't work out these new people at all. The woman reminds me of the president from Prison Break.. She says and does all the right things and comes across pretty strong but she was always up to no good behind the scenes. It wasn't the most action packed episode but its definitely become interesting.. the next few episodes should be good.

Hmm after last nights episode I don't think I like Alexandria, the episode was alright don't get me wrong, I like how it emphasised the way most of the group were struggling to deal with some normality like Rick panicking when Karl took Judith for a walk etc but then surely living in a zombie apocalypse that's the best, safest way to be regardless of where you are? like Karl said I think Alexandria could make them as a group weak.

I don't want them staying/settling into one place for whole seasons at a time either if I'm honest.

I dislike the way Daryl is kinda being secluded, he obviously doesn't feel comfortable in that sort of environment and I think Carol is possibly feeling the same way (I wonder if those two might take off together?)

Anyway, my favourite part of the episode was Glenn knocking that twat out (can't remember his name) and also Rick suggesting if it doesn't work out 'We will just take this place'.

And I just finished the 5th walking dead novel. They were a pretty good read, I do hope there is another in the series. As I mentioned before, they are set in the same universe as the comics and not the tv show, although the 5th one could be read to find out what happened to the people of woodbury after the governor was killed during the prison battle.

I ordered a few other zombie books, I think I like the genre.

A lot of theories about the 'W' on the forehead.. some people saying it's actually an 'M' for Morgan... but then there's the 'Wolves' reference... so not sure if Morgan is a part of the wolves group..

Carol's badassery rises to a whole new level when she threatens that cookie-loving kid lol... She goes from sweet housewife to psycho and back again in one speech..

What's the dealio with Jessie? Why is Rick all kissy-kissy with her... ?

And what's the deal with the end part where Rick was standing against the wall.... it all seemed a wee bit paranoid..

Anyone else think Enid stole the gun from that shack? And, why are they hiding stuff there again when it was already infiltrated.. ?

And Carol is something else, I was afraid she was gonna kill the boy at first. But yea wow her frightening the wits out of him was very well done.

I think this place seems to be getting them to let their guard down, that's why Rick is making lovely eyes at Jessie, but it's strange the way she clearly has a husband, so what's with the flirting from her.

And I do adore these recent eps, it has been a big change though, I kinda got used to them being on the road and being on what seemed like a never ending quest.

Slower paced episode but i really enjoyed it. Im kinda liking trying to solve out whats going on.

I kinda get the impression this is going in the direction where these people are nice and are trying to help but Rick and the group end up to be the bad people in all of this and something bad will happen because of them. I do think it'll be unintentionally though.. It's just how they all seem so on edge now and how they don't trust a single person, one wrong move from any of these new people will set them off. They're the ones trying to run things at times, causing trouble (Rick eyeing up that blokes wife) and stealing things.. Its just very un-like the group compared to previous encounters they've had with people where they've had to put up with people doing things they're currently doing.

The end scene was pretty cool and Carol threatening the kid was great, but everything else was really bad.

This kind of episode would be fine if we were still in the first season or two. We are 5 seasons in now and they should have an end in sight (I'm not saying it should end next year or even the year after, but they need to have an idea in mind) and it is just wasting time with so much filler. You won't find another show that is considered to be one of the best that throws out such a lacklustre and dull run of episodes in its fifth season as these few have been. Shame really because the season was on a really good run until recently.

There was a deleted scene from Season 3 where she threatened Merle, too. I love how much she's developed since the start of the show, it's fun to watch back the earlier ones and remember how different she was. It makes me sort of wish her husband was around for longer, just so we could see the new Carol unleashed on him. :laugh:

If I was Glenn and I had to sit there and watch that, I'd be scarred for life. Especially with the added guilt he's bound to feel. It wasn't his fault, but he'll no doubt beat himself up for not being able to hold on. :sad:

I kind of want Carol to kill Pete. Rick is the obvious choice. Carol and Sophia were in this position with Ed back when she was a different woman, I could see her taking matters into her own hands if Rick can't bring himself to do it in the end.

I think Alexandria have just got lucky as far as not attracting hoards, Zombies are very easily distracted and since they can't see past the walls they probably move around them. That was a big issue with the prison, the zombies could see the survivors so congregated at the fence.

Pretty annoying how weak Alexandrians have been made tbh. In the comic they at least looked semi reliable. Hopefully the Hilltop community would better translate, because it's a shock how they have any supplies and haven't lost half their men with Aidan and Nicholas as the "muscle"...as things stand, Negan would blow through Alexandria on the TV show..Rick's group or no Rick's group. :laugh:

Great episode last week, loads going on & all the smiles and happy faces have finally gone and we're getting more action. As far as deaths of main characters go i'm not too fussed about Noah.. if i had to pick any of them to die at this stage it'd probably have been him as i've never warmed to him.. it was a great way to die though.

Looking forward to the 90min finale. I assume the "W" thing is part of a " Wolves" group(TV adaptation of the Scavengers) that they have slyly referenced throughout the season.

I was looking online and saw that Rick's speeh waving the gun was very similar to Shane's when he let the zombies out he barn at the farm. "In order to live, we must fight". I do like the little throwbacks to the best character the show had(after Morgan).

Morgan!!! Finally!! Not gonna lie I was worried in that opening scene that after the years of build up he was going to be killed off just to introduce these new villains, and I'd have probably just switched the TV off if that happened, but what a great scene it ended up being. Was a cool moment when he handed Daryl the map and he noticed Rick's message too, although I'm guessing he's not gonna be too pleased with how Rick is now... He seems to be saving all humans possible (even the 2 guys that tried to rob and kill him) and the first thing he sees when he finally finds Rick is him blowing some guys head off :joker: Fingers crossed he's a main character next season though.

Father Gabriel too >> Funniest character on TV.

I felt a tad letdown by the mystery of the W headed zombies being solved. It just sounds like it's a big bunch of scumbags preying on the weak. I was sure it was gonna be something more sinister.

The bad part is that there is such a long wait for the next season, they really should have had the spinoff show ready to go.

Brilliant finale, everything about it was pretty much perfect.

Morgan and Rick being reunited was a great moment, Like Leon said hes only been in 3 or so episodes but hes already got more about him than most of the characters do at the moment. Going mental with that stick, handing Daryl the map with Ricks message on it and being reunited with Rick.. His scenes tonight were all brilliant.

Really glad Glenn didn't die, even though he isn't the most entertaining character hes still a good one and one of the originals. The ending with Rick blowing that blokes head up :worship: he has woken them all up to the realization they're being too weak and nice.. All of the group sticking up with Rick too showing how great the bond is between them all. And not forgetting one of the greatest quotes we've ever had..

It's finally become watchable again. I hope they take the Alexandria setting and do good things with it. Hopefully they won't be predictable and have it all go to **** over the course of the next season.

A stable setting allows for new kinds of stories, I hope they take the opportunity to break away from the repetition of the past few seasons and venture into new territory with Season 6.

I saw the first episode and actually quite enjoyed it ... just in a different way to The Walking Dead. :laugh:

I think it's intentionally campy and OTT, whereas TWD approaches the story more seriously.

I'm tempted to rewatch Dead Set sometime this year, I really enjoyed that when I first watched it.

This might already have been posted in here, but I can't be bothered to read back too far to find out. But if like me some couldn't watch series 5 of TWD, for me as I only have freesat, freesat have now added Spike TV, which is showing series 5 double episodes on a Friday evening. The first two episodes of series 5 were shown the Friday just gone. I did watch some episodes on you tube but it isn't quite the same as watching on a TV screen, but the first two episodes can be watched on you tube to catch up for next Friday's episodes.

Also Spike TV is showing the TWD series when the Governer was introduced, on another day/s. Without going to check TV schedules I can't recall which day/s they will be shown.
