I think 2.3 - 4 for launch, maybe higher. Official around 2.7 I think but could be higher. What are your launch predictions?

3.2m
3.3 & 3.6 Official, they always boost up about a million from Summer CBB
IAC ratings are down though, so CBB may do worse unless it capitalizes on it being around New Year's.
No IAC won't effect it, I think even after BB12, CBB9 still got 3.5

IAC and CBB are different audiences for some reason the ITV crowd look down on our beloved show lol.
The reason im a celeb ratings are down aswell is due to the terrible casting and the fact theres been 1 argument and to much interference from producers.
Im going with 3.2 million for launch as January allways rates well. With a good promo campaign and room to freely advertise on all of Viacoms channels aswell it could rate higher than usual.
This is the first CBB from Viacom so it really does need to impress. With Channel 5's current ratings though its likely going to triple them nightly anyway so...
Lets just pray they get the right group of people, CBB very rarely make a total cock up of casting apart from CBB11 which were 95% boring.

Reality to has been terrible this year apart from Celebrity Big Brother. The jungle is boring this year and I barely hear anyone talk about it where as last year everyone was talking about it on my school coach.

If it actually starts on friday the 2nd not many people will be out as they would of gone out the night before so i reckon somewhere in the 3m mark maybe 3.3 with a peak of 3.8

I'm on holiday until the 7th so I will miss the first few days which sucks!
But in terms of ratings, I don't really know. The winter series launches quite highly compared to the summer ones. CBB13 launched with 3.4m... and was a 3.69m officially.
Summer series (CBB14) launched with 2.36m.
So the winter series launched 1m higher. So should we expect ~3m overnight?

I'm more interested to find out the share! I found it interesting that over the course of its latest series, I'm a Celebrity had a series average of 35% while the last winter CBB has a share of 10.7%, it's nowhere near the status of Im a Celeb, but I thought it was good in comparison for the show to hold a whole tenth of the market, even better when you consider almost 40-50% of UK viewing is shared across multichannels and not the Big 5!
I predict something like 2.9. I think there has been a lack of hype so far, however with the theme of a twisted fairytale, even people I've spoken to who hate the show think it's clever, it'll bring in wider audiences for this reason, I also think with the news of Daniella Westbrooke, that'll help people's interest, particularly all those who watch soaps, and there are a lot who do! I just hope the advertisement on screen is strong, like with Secrets and Lies where we wanted to know so much more than they gave away, creating such a hype! I'd love to see cross channel promotion too, they do it occasionally on ITV and C4 but I'd like to see it in more places! I reckon 3.3 official, after the previous 2 series it could be hard to bring back both the casual viewer and loyal fan!

If it gets 3 million thats gonna be massive for Channel 5 at the moment ive been keeping an eye on their ratings and they really are terrible. Even Gotham has slipped below 1 million now aswell which is a shame as its an amazing series.
Look at last night!
Channel 5's The Railway gathered 640k (3.0%)
Britain's Bloodiest Dynasties with 564k (2.6%)
Seriously BOTS gets more than their current prime time shows.
In a way the poor performance of the channel at the moment can only be a good thing for us BB dorks. Lets hope they really pull out a great series the future of the show on Channel 5 really is down to how well this year performs.

Although a launch in january, has never been below 3.5m even on c5.
Sensible for them to move it out of the way of Broadchurch. Wasn't that getting like 10m in the overnights?
I wonder if the other channels might actually be trying to go against it this year. Last January obliterated everything except BBC1 a lot of the time.

They don't need promo there was hardly any last year and it still did well
What do people think the documentary/list show will get?
It's on at 10:35 so I'm not expecting great things. They've put it in on AFTER a documentary about White Dee ffs

Didn't realise it was on so late i reckon it will get 900k or something which is probs double what the channels currently getting in that slot.
Literally who gives a **** about White Dee? Its hardly a good lead in.
I can't help but feel that even 900k is generous but I guess we'll see. I dunno what else it would be up against if it had gone out at 9pm but I can't help but feel it would have got better ratings than white ****ing dee.

I think it will get a very strong launch rating! The advertisement on MTV, CC, etc, will defo boost the ratings because people who watch MTV will most likely like shows like CBB.

To be fair, winter CBB always launch strongly. CBB13 launched with around 3.4m overnight and 3.7m official. If it falls under 3m, for a winter CBB, that would be seen as poor. Hopefully with the promotion on the other channels, it won't fall under 3m.

2 other adverts
Radio adverts

3.2 million, officially not much higher.

3.7 million.
I must say the promotion for this CBB has been great.
I can't remember a series of BB being advertised on billboards, since BB7.
Not to mention the advert as well, which I have seen at least four times a day over the last two weeks.
CBB13 promo was terrible, but that series did fantastically well.
Hope they promote Civilian BB like this, in the summer.

I think that's a reasonable prediction after last years summer series.

CBB has been on the uprise in recent years. So we could be in for a good overnight rating. Anything above 2m would be outstanding for C5 anyway given how low their figures have been for months.
I'm going to assume 2.6-2.8m overnight. Would be happy to see them get over 3m though.
I am quietly confident that it will knock viacom's disdain of the show once it becomes the one of if not the only show to hit 1m let alone 2m since they took over C5.

Very decent ratings! It came 2nd in its slot only beaten by Silent Witness on BBC1. It apparently peaked in the middle of the show at 3.9m.

Thought I'd post this in case anyone else was confused with all the numbers.
Channel 5's latest series opened with an average audience of 3.09m (15.4%) at 9pm, with a further 178,000 (1.4%) tuning in on +1. Bit on the Side entertained 968k (11.0%) at 11pm.
3.09m (15.4%) on C5
+
178,000 (1.4%) on C5+1
=
3.26m (16.8%)
Bit On The Side got 968K (11.0%)
It is just shy of last Januarys launch of 3.18m (exc. +1) however is well up on the 2.24m from the previous summer launch (exc. +1)
At the same time
BBC One - Silent Witness - 6.42m (27.6%)
BBC Two - Supercars Vs. Used Cars - 1.82m (7.8%)
C4 - 24 Hours in A&E - 1.72m (7.4%)
Imo, a 15% share for CBB (exc. +1) is excellent, it has near doubled both Channel 4 and BBC Two, and I suspect BBC One took a small dent. An 11% share for BOTS is equally great at such a late time. I believe, as with the last january series, this is one of the series that will continue to grow in ratings as more and more drama or stories unfold!
It's the only rating at the moment. Viacom didn't officially take over until last September

Tonight's competition...
BBC1- Death In Paradise
BBC2- The Super Rich and Us
ITV- Bring Back Borstal
CH4- Britain's Fattest People
DiP was getting in the range of the 7m last series, so that is one to look out for, however I don't know if it would clash with the CBB audience. Bring Back Borstal is one I am worried about. It's a new (can we say "reality" show) where a group of 14 young guys, some who have criminal records go back to 1930s living. So it's kind of like that bootcamp show for trouble teens they had a few years back on ITV which was successful

[QUOTE=*mazedsalv**;7458482]Tonight's competition...
BBC1- Death In Paradise
BBC2- The Super Rich and Us
ITV- Bring Back Borstal
CH4- Britain's Fattest People
I have a feeling it'll suffer a little blip tonight, as per, repeat of the launch never rates highly, and DIP gets close to 6 or 7m +, BBC2's programming could fair well, as yesterdays Necker Island doc got a 12% share, which is good! ITV.. it's fair to say, is hardly competition nowadays, meanwhile C4's show could be good or bad.. it really depends on the night I find with their programming..
I predict it'll be at 2.4m but hits 3rd in it's slot, beating ITV and C4.
However, these programmes cater to very different audiences compared with CBB so let's hope the fact it's not a repeat of the previous night, put people off!

Hmmm I also wonder if it'll suffer from Saturday fever too with it being after the launch and having the whole "oh it's just a repeat of last night" bollocks that always gets associated with the show.
Fantastic launch rating though :clap1:

A good solid rating. I was kinda hoping for it to be higher. But still at least it's retaining it's audience. For C5 it's brilliant though.
Viacom haven't seen that many 1m ratings since they took over the channel so this is spectacular for them. Bye to the disdain for it I suspect.

Just had some ratings information through from the press team.
-In terms of share, last night's launch as the second highest ever on Channel 5, behind the first series in August 2011
- While on air, C5 was the second most popular channel behind BBC 1
- Across the day, C5 claimed 7.1% of all viewers. As such it was their highest day since March 2012. Additionally, the share of 16-34's hit 10.9% which has not been beaten since May 2010
ALL VIEWERS:
3.3. Million/16.3% share - +210% on vs slot
16-34's:
29.9% share - +399% vs slot.

Me too. It looks very healthy. If it stays within that range, that would mean around a 3m official which would match last January! For it to be the lowest winter edition, it would need to fall below CBB9s 2.6m official (2.2m overnight).

I think ratings will do just fine and have a slight increase as these next few days go on.
I'm annoyed at the lack of YouTube updates on the BB page though. How can they be so blind to alienate a good portion of people who enjoyed watching those videos daily. It's really not that hard to have the same person uploading videos on the site to upload them on YouTube too.
Good, considering the other TV on last night

I don't know if it will hold though. To be fair, I know the first HL show is always a lot of a repeat, but usually the next episodes after always drop. A lot of the time, the first HL show is the highest rated, except for the launch and final.
Last nights episode wasn't exactly the most exciting, so I hope it doesn't plummet. Tonight it's all out and the live noms are happpening so I am hoping for it to be 2.5m+. Time for us to do some of our own promotion!

It beat CBB9s 2nd highlight show AND first Friday show.

CBB13s 2nd highlight show received 2.33m (so only 20k down on that).

Here are all the second over night ratings! From CBB 9 - 14
CBB 14 - 1.96m 9.7%
CBB 13 - 2.33 9%
CBB 12 - 1.43m/6.6%
CBB 11 - 2.07million (9.3%)
CBB 10 - somewhere between 1.77 and 2 millions (According to CBB10 TIBB rating thread)
CBB 9 - 2m
CBB 8 - N/A (could not find)
So CBB 15 got the highest second overnight rating on Channel 5, unless CBB 8 was higher.
Other shows at 9PM got
Benidorm - 4.83 20.9%
The Three Musketeers - 3.64 15.8%
8 Out Of Ten Cats - 2.21 9.6%

That's a good rating.
Its probably matching the viewers that normally tune into Channel 5's regular programming at that time.

Celebrity Big Brother 2015 has dropped a million viewers since its launch night on Wednesday.
3.3 million viewers had tuned in to the latest series’ opener on Wednesday evening but that had fallen to 2.3 million for last night’s highlights from 9PM.
It was just enough to allow Channel 5 to beat Channel 4 in the 9PM slot but BBC One and ITV were both were ahead.
Later on at 10PM and a live face to face nominations special was watched by just under two million viewers as the fourteen housemates turned on one another for the first time.
And after that, spin-off show Bit On The Side dipped to less than a million viewers as Rylan Clark dealt with the fallout from the nominations.

Why is this ****ty fansite trying to make out CBB is failing in the ratings when its on parr with last years that was seen as huge success?
People just love to be negative.
Yes its dropped by a million but its the lowest drop off % wise for any CBB series and them bashing BOTS rating? Really? Those ratings are extremely impressive for a spin off show and are arounf 400k up on the summer series of the spin off.
Whatever 12 year old runs that site needs a kick in their undescended testicles.

Every episode has had a 10% plus share. How can anyone knock that on a Channel where their recent shares have been 1/2%

The Luisa/Dappy argument got just above 2 million on a Saturday, I don't think that 2.2 is unachievable

Its nice that you're so positive but 3.9? Are you serious lol.
I think it will be around 2.1 with +1 purely because people don't watch BB on a Saturday I think the show suffers from this and they should scrap Saturday shows and do an extended episode every Sunday.

We might get a surprise of around 2.5 Million. There was no eviction yesterday so people might feel more positive and watch.

There's not much competition tonight, apart from Skyfall on ITV which was played only a couple of weekends on ITV, so unless people feel the need to watch a film the watch only 2 weeks ago! James Bond is pretty boring once you have seen the film once! So hopefully it can get maybe 2.5-6.
